different models handle these different terrain. The LS models, and maybe arc too, are best on pavement or firm-packed trails, nothing way too rocky. But the msub can handle rocker and rootier trails.

I got an Arch for $300 used today. They've been recalled, but I checked, and did not see any crack in the welds, which were responsible for the recall. I can't inline skate or run much anymore so this is a great solution for me!

I saw a 3 stooges episode (Yes we have no bonanza from 1939) curly was riding an outdoor elliptical bike. It looked easier to ride and much higher quality than the modern elliptical bikes.

At 6'6" and 300 lbs, does this bike adjust to my rider profile? I'm curious because I struggle to find any bike that fits my height. Also, being a bigger guy, gears have snapped because they can't handle the pressure I have put on them while climbing hills.

It varies by model. But check the pre-owned section of elliptigo. I got a pre-owned arc 8 from them for $975. (New these used to cost $1500. This model is no longer made. Check fb marketplace and eBay - lots of great deals

this bike should flip through gears automatically as you get fast the bike should automatically switch to a harder gear and as you decline in speed the bike should automatically switch to an easier gear, all u have to do is get on and pedal

What's the main difference between this one and a standing bike? Riding a regular bike while standing killed my knees. I also suffer from herniated discs hence I can't sit.

I just got a used LS model (saved a lot of money that way). It's well made, has some internal hub thing so the chain doesn't seem to slip off easily. I have no idea what the manufacture cost is, but a lot of the models are consistent with good quality bikes. It's an investment in your health, more fun than an indoor elliptical, the more you use it, the more it was worth the price. I wouldn't really say gimmick b/c unlike a bike, which supports your weight, you're supporting your weight, maneuvering this fairly heavy bike up the hills, getting a good workout.
