Rishubh I rode it a couple of days ago and also today. The brakes are amazing .The sound is sweet too. It’s a great package. I ride a Harley Street Rod and I think this bike would’ve made a better deal.

My dream machine, I'm waiting for them to launch the RS version, it has significantly better/premium components (like Ohlins Suspension and Brembo brakes) than the S version and gets the awesome LCD display/dashboard. You must checkout the Yoshimura exhaust for the Street Triple roars like a Lamborghini Aventador! Great review again PD, superb shots in the rain! Cheers!

PowerDrift Yes. But street triple is 184 kg (kerb/wet) and Z900 is 210 kg (kerb/wet) So it makes Z900 26kg heavier. Am I right?

i have ridden both and Street Triple feels far better within the city than Z900. I mean the maneuverability is far better on Street Triple. Also one Glaring thing that bothered me on Z900 was its Build quality. Its was just not upto the mark. Street Triple felt so much better with its instruments and the switch gear. Over all, the Triumph feels like a Quality machine. If they would get the base, stripped out version of the Z900, then that would certainly make the Triumph more appealing. The Average buyer in this segment is not out to get just a high capacity bike. They dont mind paying for the latest tech. It would be like getting an over priced Maruti Alto with a 2 liter engine in it. The only thing you are paying oodles of money for is that engine and the engineering required to shove in such a big engine into it. Also Sheldenkar, are you sure those were LED lights on the bike as you said. They sure didnt seem like one. Also, Does the Arrow Exhaust and Mapping come as standard or an Optional Extra???? Closing comment - If i had to put down my hard earned money then i Would go for RS over this because it gets a Slipper Clutch and a Brilliant Color TFT display with loads of functions to play around with. And lot many small additions, like Quick Shifter, Öhlins on the rear setup and Brembo Brakes.

Another gr8 review however there are couple of things MISSING 1. Since you folks did not talk about the infamous STALLING issue with the old gen ST675 i would like to give the benefit of doubt 2. A comparo of the maintenance or running cost wrt z900 600i and Monster 797 will make a lot of sense and Mby takers too.. Something to ponder upon.. Food for thought! Until next Cheers 😁👍

Adarsh Mohanty the triples have more power throught out the RPM range and u can feel the torque much earlier and extendes longer 4cyl are more refined gradual increase in power and torque and triples sound light-years better than inlines atleast for me eg)daytona675r with an arrow exhaust!

Have been a fan of your videos for quite a while now. Like most have said..Sarge can inspire anyone into buying a bike and becoming a racer. Something on the same lines has happened with me BUT.. I feel like I'm at a cross road here. Need your help in making a choice..should it be the CBR650F (2017) or the Street Triple S (2017)?? P.S - Regular city riding and occasional long rides on the twisty Goan roads.

Nice review!! I have the 2014 Striple which is my current daily ride and I also sat on the new Street here in Bangalore; for some reason, I felt that the seat height was lower ? Also, I believe they offer a lower seat as an option. Wasnt the seat height of the previous model 820mm ? My own impression was also that the seating was ergonomically superior on the new Street where I felt that I got the best posture right out of the box without the need for adjustable footpegs as I have on mine right now. Thoughts ? I have not ridden the new bike yet, but my heart is set on the 'R' version, is it ever comes especially since I am a road person and not a track person...

I've been a fan of Triumph Street Triple from the first time i saw it in Mission Impossible Movie!! All tym fav bike, and it just get better with every new versions!! If the standard version is this cool, can't imagine how RS will be. Waiting for the launch of RS model. Obviously it will be costing more than Z900, i think that'll be the benchmark in Middle weights, after all Triumph have put everything in their RS variant, and thats the one they boast about ryt now, and i think they are ryt!!

I think this is Powerdrift's Best bike review of the year 2017 so far. And the best part is comparing the competition and letting us know what "If i had to choose?" question. And my all time favourite bike reviews of yours are Triumph Daytona 675R, 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R Winter Edition and KTM Duke 390. By the way, I used to ride the KTM Duke 200(now sold), planning to go for the 2017 KTM Duke 250.

Even to this day I'd chose the striple over the Z900 and over the trident :) . The 2017 did not have LED headlights and did not have slipper clutch . Slipper clutch was standard from 2018 and the LED headlights from 2020 I believe.
