Wrestling for MMA is a little bit different than your regular folkstyle/freestyle. You gotta be able to know how to absorb strikes to enter clinch range, utilize shifting punches(ie: Fedor Emelianenko, Roberto Duran, etc.) Good clinch fighters switch stances and are comfortable wherever their head is positioned in correlation to their opponents. High level judokas understand this and seasoned Wrestlers. They transition throughout position smoothly to control their opponents posture, and off-balance for a reaction to set up the takedown/strike.
