Great fight....good skills and strategy by both. Turtle was able to overcome that reach disadvantage by demonstrating accuracy with his counter punches, especially the left hook.

Reach is not an advantage. Have you watch many Street Beefs fights? On Street Beefs the shorter man usually win. The reason why height and reach don't mean shit is because when you have two fighters weighing the same but one is 8 inches taller, the taller boy is giving up too much strength for the sake of height and reach. Strength over height and reach any day.

Q Tip was having a lot more success in the 3rd finally using his reach but there was no stopping Turtle. I think them 2 losses lit a fire under his ass because he’s fightin hungry last two outings ! Great fight! And some great matchmaking for the 1 year bash!

Actually enjoyable to watch. Both guys looked extremely skilled! Turtle was just hair more technical than Q Tip I think (I have no knowledge in boxing, BTW), but they were both good and landed several great punches. Even though Turtle won, you could easily see that he didn't just want to go all in on his opponent all the time;) I've watched a few of these now, and I gotta say, the sportsmanship is through the roof!

Again when there is a big height discrepancy the shorter man wins at least 90% of the time. Like I always say height and reach don't mean shit. But I will still get some dumb dumbs saying height and reach is an advantage, he just didn't know how to use it. But if 90+% of the time the shorter man wins it can't be that all of the taller boys didn't know how to use their "reach", that's disrespectful to the shorter man that put in work. In this case the taller boy tried to use his "reach" but the shoter man walk him down. Because when you have two fighters weighing the same but one is 8 inches taller, the taller boy is physically too weak to keep the shorter stronger man off. All thing equal strength over height and reach any day.

Height and reach is not an advantage when you are 8 inches taller but weigh the same as the shorter man. Have you watched a lot of street beefs fights usually the shorter man wins. Strength over height and reach. Think Baby Hulk, Tank Davis, Canelo.
