Playing For Change I completely agree. Too bad people will say he's playing it wrong.
@Notesens8 жыл бұрын
He didn't create this style, it's called solo fingerstyle guitar. Mainly consists of taps, slides, and percussion. (as well as harmonics and regular fingerpicking). Check out Mike Dawes - Impossible Guitar.. Jon Gomm - Passion Flower.. Andy Mckee - Drifting.. Thomas Leeb, Sungha Jung.. God there's so many greats. There's another famous fingerstyle guitarist that holds his guitar in his lap like this guy, (forget his name), and then there's Billy Mclaughlin that holds his guitar almost like a damn cello (completely vertical). This guy is most likely self-taught; but definitely has some influence in his style.

Marina HLady Bc there are a looooooot of talented men and women ; a lot more than what we can see on TV, social media or in the street. Then because everyone who likes music doesnt want to be on stage : music can be something very personal even at a high level ; and some people just prefer playing for themselves rather than for somebody else with the stress of concerts and the world of show-business.. I guess. And finally, i think nowadays there are too much artists, to allow everyone to be famous and live thanks to their talent.

+Andrew Thiyam oh... but Kanye and anyone like him is a self proclaimed god, and backed up by millions of morons so that's basically what sells. I completely agree, no one appreciates skill anymore and how much time it takes to learn an instrument of any kind. I appreciate music I don't even particularly like even if it takes skill to make and especially playing live and playing basically flawless without hours of editing to make it sound perfect. I just hope actual musicians don't die out just because a bunch of people love anything that has basically loops all over the place, the same lyrics being spoken constantly and anyone can simply beat box the same drum riff that suits every... single... fucking.....song

If you don't sign your life (and of course most of your earnings) to these talentless satanic parasite ghouls - who control the recording and entertainment performance industry - you don't get anywhere. Should you also be able to compose, they'll steal your song's copyright. Then they also publish (print) the music and then they own the written sheetmusic copyright too. (If you freehand copy the score, even then you're violating their copyright - not of the tune itself - that's separate - but the printed notes on the paper) This latter particular travesty is exploited through orchestral sheet music; they have to "rent" the score for ridiculous amounts from these horrid subhumans. It's a horrible racket, based on massive EXPLOITATION and few really know about it in detail. It makes you vomit. The parasitic horde around performers, musicians and composers living off of their skills and talent is unbelievable in numbers. BTW: They supply the drugs to them too, to make them dependent/addicted. Talent does count insofar if they can exploit you, but not more. Should you decide not to give in to the parasitic bloodsucking leeches, you'll be forever playing on the streets and bars. They'll tell you that too, "if you're not with us, you'll never amount to anything and we'll make sure of that, because we have that kind of power and control". I know personal stories, first hand.

I`m not saying that I can do this! But there are a lot of different styles of guitar-playing! Modern Percussive Fingerstyle is not harder than any other guitar playstyle ... It`s just not seen that often because the popularity of modern percussive finger style mainly raised in the last few years. I do understand that people are excited about it... but in my opinion calling this advanced is just not right. ^^ Obviously it depends on how you`d describe advanced! Someone who`s able to master basic techniques like sliding and bending isn`t advanced for me though... There`s way more behind really good guitar playing than most people think....
