I have been into drags since the early 1980's Pipe road, Cheery Lane and the AGE BLD all in Melbourne, even Heathcote, when a friend of mine had a HR ute which he built himself back then and was doing low 11's with a 308 and 4 speed, till i advised him to put a powerglide from a 350 Monaro, which he did and got the time down to mid 10's, It was a white Holden HR ute, with SWAN name on the back tailgate. Also doing the rounds at Lygon St where the best car i has seen back then was a HZ Black 4 door Monaro with a 427 big block and with white leather interior. Again portland might be a wash out maybe, i hope not, but thank you so much for uploading the days, mainly because i am disabled and its very hard for me to get to the tracks, i did go the last day at calder 2019 and one of the track officials in the little 4x4 green van took me right upto the start line to watch it. 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚓🚓🚓🚓👌👌👍👍✌✌😊😊

Rb30 glide 9”Torana Barra swapped valiant or fox etc etc Especially if someone is running a different combo K powered Toyota And possibly one episode explaining the classes ?? With typical examples ? Just a thought

@streetmachinetv Can you please provide some clarity I can't seem to find anywhere. I'm in the middle of building a blown VZ, and it seems every rule in every state makes any components out the bonnet not street legal. Noting the rules of drag challenge has to be rego'd etc., Can you shed some light on the Torrie at 2:41 and are these type of bonnet protrusions okay to cruise VIC/SA roads and enter Drag Challenge? If so, I'd love to come down from QLD for my first time in 24! Thanks.

The green Torano rear axle doesn't looked grught, on the right hand side compared to the left. When it took off the left wheel looked dead centre.... Hmmmm Looking at all the other Torano 's their wheels seem to sit perfectly parellel in the rear arches, even the one with huge rears.

@@STREETMACHINETV great, i hope it all goes well for everyone, so hard to do the challenge, its not just oil and plugs, its diff ratios tyres, oil coolant etc etc, the temps for drags is totally different compared to driving non stop and drag engines are not built to have heat non stop, which is why they tend to let the engine cool down. 🚗🚗👌👌👍👍✌✌
