Ive lost most races beating myself up, making mistakes, getting annoyed thinking i have to win. Then one night my gf said…i thought you came to have fun, you are not having fun from what i see….i walked around talked to a few old friends and came back thinking screw it im going to ride and let the car do its job, won that race and the next 2 after that. Now im just keeping the car straight and shifting gears, its up to the car after that

More than a couple times I've beat my own self in final round by thinking too much at the last moment. For example not getting lane choice at the very last moment even tho you are entitled to it. If you try to argue with the track you just gonna make it worse. Just run your lane and forget about who is in the other. That's all one can and should do at any given race. Kinda basic stuff but worth repeating.

Yeah but it's just one event out of many. And anytime rules change trying to help the racers as a whole it only takes a season or two when the big money guys switch it up to dominate their particular chosen class. It's kinda always been this way and after all is what racing is about is to win. It's just been difficult for this small tire stuff for a person with less to even stay in the pack. Classic drag racer struggles.

He should be setting and re-setting the anti roll bar before during and after each event. That car is binding up. It's not a huge dramatic amount but just enough to upset the car making it harder to tune. Would like to see him 4 wheel scale the car each week and unload the anti roll bar and set it up each event based on a log he should already have been keeping on what each setting has done in the past. Or something like that.
