Skagway is one of the strangest towns I have visited, because it remains the same to day in many ways, as it did during the gold rush. It has always maintained the original gold rush era architecture, it's economy has been supported mostly upon travellers passing through, and it is wildly pristine. The drive in and out of Skagway is worth the trip all on it's own. The final hill into town though, is quite steep, and the MoHo had a bit of a tough time coming to a stop. Half way down I noticed the brakes getting pretty soft. I knew I could still pump them solid, but it was time to find a place to stop ASAP. I found a big pull out, and I had to really work it to get to a stop, but she did. I have been chasing some air in my brakes for a few weeks now, because its tough to get a proper bleed when you're doing it solo, but I seemed to get it good and solid for now. Arriving to Skagway, I wasn't really shocked, because I have been here so many times before when I worked on ships. It is a very important town in our North America history, so I wanted to bring it on the channel, but this year I don't have time for an adventure here. Heading to Prince Rupert to surprise my friends was an exciting experience. I am very disappointed we encountered the weather we did here, but I had an amazing day none the less. The driving I have done lately in the north, with the autumn colours, has been absolutely amazing. I hope you have enjoyed these drone shot travel sequences. The landscapes here are so vast and glorious, I have found that the drone is the only way to properly capture it. If you did enjoy this episode, I hope you may consider helping support the channel. I have some wonderful folks supporting on Patreon, and some awesome swag over on the Merch site.

Dustin is much too cool to sell out to anyone. We’re really proud of him but you know, there’s a lot of good people who live in British Columbia who have ethics and values. He worked damn hard to get this channel where it is today. I don’t believe he will ever disappoint us. 😊

I have been seeing comments like this lately, an I want you to know they mean a lot to me. Thank you all so much. This channel is my absolute highest priority and focus, and I don’t plan to change that. I am not interested in giving up any creative control to any network or third party entity. If I am able to make a living doing this, I would love to make a long career of it. If someone comes with a very good offer, I may accept, but the content will not change. :). Thank you all for enjoying so much, and for your kind words.

For what it's worth, this episode, even though you're viewing it as constrained or missing something, is still just as good of a part of the story in the eyes of the viewers. I don't think you need to worry about forcing as many of the produced elements in as you can. Especially when things like this happen, the plans get cancelled and that's part of life. We're mostly just here for the adventure!

Wish you could do some exploring here in the northern plains states but there's more to see in northern Minnesota, lot's of old abandoned towns with long lost stories. Some newlyweds take a drive all the way around the great lakes, it can be done in 2 weeks, lot's of great sites to see, check it out. Please do not sell out, you are too great for Hollywood. Alaska. The last frontier of the wild and free. Like yourself l have been to many of coastal towns and cities of Alaska. I have met and work along side indigenous fisherman in glacier bays. Listen to the roar and thunder of falling glaciers up close. Bald Eagles diving from 100 feet above to fetch a Salmon from the ocean. Bears climbing into fisherman's boats. White shelled beaches as far as your eye can see. Northern lights the greatest light show on earth. So much to see and experience. It humbles you and to be thankful for nature's beauty. The best part of it all that it is free for us to enjoy. Dustin you capture this and much more. Your filming and editing is first class. Story lines are professional and always interesting. Thank you for sharing .

I hope the people of BC and Alaska want to keep that place as natural as possible for as long as possible.. It's a gem of the world and humans haven't been to smart with nature. The places he's been visiting needs to remain as is ( except the towns of course need growth ). People might have objecting opinions on electric cars and going to clean energy world but seeing places Dustin has been showing should be motivation enough to make it happen.. Congrats on boldly taking Highway 37! We live in Tatl'ah (Dease Lake). You need to make one of your destinations the town at the end of the road that turns off at Dease Lake, Telegraph Creek, over the mountains and through the Grand Canyon of the Stikine on Highway 51. The road down into the old ghost town has been completely rebuild and even a motorhome can make it if you take it easy. You need to make the trip while there are still some buildings left. There is also a fantastic restaurant where you HAVE to try the pie, the old Hudsons Bay building on the bank of the Stikine River, now called the Riversong Cafe and Rooms. Bring the drone and give yourself a couple of days.

So surprised that you disliked Boya Lake. We’ve done most of that same trip and Boya Lk was actually the highlight of our entire trip. When we arrived (almost this same time of year), the campground was nearly empty. We had the most spectacular waterfront campsite looking out on that absolutely crystal clear turquoise marl lake with snow capped mountains across from us. There was almost complete silence there and the beauty was incredible. Sunrise, sunset, fog gently drifting off the lake. And the northern lights. It was absolute heaven for us, such that we extended our stay there. It was our favourite part of our entire trip north.

So sorry that it didn't work out with your friends but your video this week was stunning! You always do a spectacular job of filming and editing but this one was stellar in both of those. I now want to visit Alaska and Northern British Columbia to see these historic places that you have been showing. Thank you so much for that! 💖

Your videos are always f*** amazing! You do want you need to because I’m a fan through and through as are there are tons of other folks feeling the same way. You bring sights and stories that are unique to you. Natgo and the like have absolutely nothing on you. Side note, your soundtracks are absolutely amazing! You choices are always spot on!!!! Peace and Blessings!

Dustin never ever be sorry for not having your next adventure set up. Darn you Mother Nature! (I’m shaking my fist at the sky) Shoots, dude you are living a dream! You do an absolutely amazing job producing and editing your videos and by yourself. Some KZbinrs have others edit their videos. This week’s adventure was just as brilliant as your last. Your transitions from drone footage to back of RV to you were so well done and timed to the music. Bravo. Loved your clip at the beginning with your alter ego. Totally love the trick filming. I use to love to trick photography back in the day with my old Minolta film camera. You create magic with each adventure along with humor. I would love to get out and enjoy the beauty you are experiencing, but broke my foot 2 months ago, so I’m in recovery. I am living vicariously through your videos from my recliner. And, planning my next year’s road trip adventure. Thank you so much for all that you do.

You know, if you would just give Mic his own patreon page, he could afford to put better parts on the Moho ; ) Seriously though, those shots were freaking awesome! Don't you apologize for nothing. Always a pleasure to see what you got to do, even if it's just getting to see the sights.

Thanks for the tour of Skagway and the interview on it's history. As usual your video (and audio) is fabulous. We did the tourist thing a few years ago coming up via Princess from Vancouver to Alaska with a stop in Skagway. We did the White Pass Railway tour which was awesome. Glad to see you made it safely back to BC. I'm looking forward to your next adventure. They look great on a 55 inch TV on a 7.1 Sound system!😊😉
