We've spoken before Charlie. Just so you know ... IMHO you need to step it up. By that I DON'T mean being stupidly careless! Your videos are telling but after a while they're much of a 'muchness'. One of my original comments included the word 'lazy'. I have some idea of who you are. I'm hitting on your videos less often because there is no context to them. I like what you're trying to expose but your videos are waky-faky. Anonymity is easy ❤

Charlie, I’m getting vibes that you are playing with fire by being in these areas. The cartels are a different, far more dangerous presence than the street gangs in the US, and they really don’t mess around. Please be safe, brother!

Back in the 80's and early 90's, I was a truck driver. Anytime I went thru Texas on I-10, I'd stop in El Paso and go into Juarez. I'd get off the beaten path and visit neighborhood bars. The beer was cheap and so were the women. I never had a problem. You couldn't beat me with a stick and get me to go there now.

Everyone talking about “it’s exactly how I imagined it would” this is just a small part of the city. I cross the border every week day or night and of course it has it’s dangerous, ugly areas like every city but if you visit the east side you’ll see how diverse and modern it is. The houses, hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes and malls look a lot better than the ones in El Paso, Texas. Juarez is a beautiful city outside of it’s downtown area.

The outside areas, the roads outside Juarez, the city it's safe almost all the time. Look, the locals are friendly, mostly of them. If you see military and police in the same place it's a safe zone. Contact with a tour guide or something, always walk with people who recognize the zone. Idk why you will be there, but be more aware of police, they like to stop you and beg for money for some reason. Cartel are not searching for american tourist, it's not good for the business but idk be careful. Riveras Del Bravo and Samalayuca are a fucked up zones, don't go there. Be asafe and welcome to Mexico. Maybe Juarez it's not a big city but it has to offer good food and more. @@Yoo-hooPapi

I ran the Ciudad Juarez Marathon (Oct 2023), it was a short visit, but met some very warm hearted people, one runner friend in particular, showed me around like we were old childhood friend; very touching. We went to a free concert at the big X, and this was around 11pm, it was a chill family vibe. My friend told me 10 years ago, things were real bad, and violence would spill out even the main strip. The only issue I had was being pulled over by cops in my airport taxi to my hotel. Not to make light of the horrors that may people go through in CDJ, but it was a real special marathon, and a pleasure to visit.

Grew up in El Paso in the sixties we went to Juarez for everything from getting our hair cut to things for the house,in the 70’s as soon as the bars closed in El Paso right over the bridge to our favorite bars El Submarino and Fred’s still good in the 80’s my friend and neighbor Sandy Lopez his dad was the manager of this The Camino Real hotel one of the nicest hotels in Juarez at the time. And thanks to the democrat party the cartels are stronger than ever.
