Welcome back everyone. We have a new streets of rage 2 hack but this time with Ryu and Ken. That's right, the world warriors has entered the building! This video is in a no commentary long play format. The game itself is played in full and is now on hard difficulty. Wow!! This is so cool! Sadly, I never really played the Streets of Rage games so I never knew that these two were in it!

Thanks for stopping by bro. See this is a rom hack of streets of rage 2. Ken and ryu isn't really in the game, but somebody modified it and put them in there. The game was so fun I figured might as well share it on the channel.

@@Azkhalon Most of it is replacing sprites. Many games in the 90s used sprites only, also ego-shooters like Doom and Duke Nukem. You could literally change each sprite with another. A fighter of this game here has maybe 20 different sprites, maybe 30. So you have to replace them with fitting sprites from other games, so a jumped kick from Axl would have been replaced with a jumped kick from Ryu. When you are done exchanging all these sprites, you have a new character. Same with the special moves. You have to pay attention, that you can exchange it. I remember (besides building maps for "Duke Nukem 3D"), I experimented also with changing sprites for weapons. For example I changed the rocket-sprite with a "diving Duke sprite", so whenever I fired a rocket, there came a "diving Duke" out of my rocket-launcher. Other hacks in Duke Nukem was to exchange the bullet-holes from bullet-weapons with little explosions. So when you fired a machine-gun to a wall, there were not plenty of bullet-holes, but plenty of explosions. Another hack replaced one of the first enemies in the game (the lizard-trooper) with a Duke-sprite, so you could simulate LAN-partys, same time this replacement attacked you with 3 different weapons, which made the game a lot harder. But that was really nice fun.
