This is the Official vinyl release for the soundtrack to the Epic Sega Genesis game, Streets of Rage 2 that I backed up onto my computer. This is one of the first games I had when I got my Genesis back in the day, and man did it blow me away. I spent many long nights trying to beat the game with the different playable characters. I don't own the audio or receive any money for this video, this is strictly for listening purposes. Track listing:

Thanks. Yes this is probably one of my more memorable soundtracks. The Sega Genesis was the first game console that I bought myself after saving up money one summer. When I finally bought it Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 were included and I used to stay up late at night playing Streets of Rage 2 trying to get further and further without dying so I could have more lives at the end.

Of course she didn’t count on me swapping Alex Kidd for Mortal Kombat 2 with a school friend when I was 13/14 😂 And she was right to worry, the very next day I got expelled for ripping out a teacher’s spine! …Part of that story may be untrue.

For me, in the 90s and every year since, via emulators. I never quit the Streets of Rage and Sonic titles from the Sega Genesis. No matter what else I'm playing from the new gen consoles. And yeah, this music is timeless and eternaly ingrained in my soul too.

That's so funny. I've been seeing these video games music albums, where I'm like, "that's so nerdy", it's cool, but maybe too nerdy for me. But listening to it here my reaction is that it's pretty awesome. It's not simply 8 or 16-bit original on wax. It really sounds like early 90s pop house music
