@And if Capcom does release Final Fight 4, tell them this: Make Mike Haggar pile dive gangsters right through concrete, ice and steel to the point where he creates giant craters upon doing so where its like an epic sight to see, by then people would look back at Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters II as wrestlers in that game (including Mike Haggar) can slam wrestlers right through stone, ice and steel in the first place. To see Mike Haggar do that to gangsters and criminals for the same reason he pile dived wrestlers right through stone, ice and steel would be so epic, something that Capcom really needs to consider on doing upon doing Final Fight 4.

@ManBearPig I'm certain they are still calling it Streets of Rage 4 as I saw the trailer awhile back. Never the less, more people should convince Capcom to do Final Fight 4 in wake of Streets of Rage 4 already being announced. Which is something that needs to take place.

My friend bought Final Fight 2 on Japanese import and we completed it the same night. It was OK, but possibly a step back from the original game, despite the inclusion of the 2 player mode. Streets of Rage 2 was by far the better game, a 16-bit classic.

Acho que o maior castigo que a série Final Fight sofreu foi ter ficado confinado no SNES, pois a partir do segundo jogo a série se tornou muito genérica, se tivessem desenvolvido para arcades ou algum outro console não tão limitado para o gênero a série poderia ter seu prestígio intacto, SOR por sua vez foi crescendo em qualidade a cada novo capítulo vindo a se tornar a referência quando se tratando de beat´ em up.

Hardware de 1988... Street of Rage 2 é épico demais, excelente em tudo, gráficos, jogabilidade, variedade de cenários, musica, efeitos sonoros. É um jogo que tu tens tesão e prazer e jogar com todos os personagens e jogar de novo só pra apreciar esta magnifica trilha sonora. Já o Final Fight 2 é só mais um jogo do gênero, igual ao primeiro e ao terceiro, sem inovação alguma. Chega a ser covarde a comparação.

SOR2 is better - better music, better sprites with more animation, & great wincing sounds when you hit someone. Also there are more moves in SOR2, which can be chained & varied, making the game less limited in moveset compared to the FF series. But if I can highly recommend two brawlers on SNES, they're Batman Returns & Ninja Warriors Again; now they are sheer quality!

The SNES sound chip is it's greatest handicap. It's almost painful to listen to the chasm of difference in these two chips. (My laptop is plugged into my Cambridge amp and Warfdale speakers and it's so sad to hear the SNES's limp frequency range.)

The SNES sound chip is very, very overrated in my honest opinion... and in 'almost' every game, the instrumentation sounds like a bunch of robotic dying cats meowing, to my ears anyway. But, it could sound awesome in the right hands. The Mega Drive's FM chip wasn't without it's faults either when in the wrong hands. Sega were wise to go with the YM2612 chip, since a lot of arcades in the late 80's and 90's had a Yamaha FM chip of some description.

If this were a UFC fight, the end of the fight would occur in the opening seconds of the fight by disgustingly-brutal KO. People would be in outrage that such a mismatched fight was arranged, and that the health and wellbeing of the fighters was blatantly unimportant to the promoters next to the big-name draw of both fighters. Absolutely no contest at all; SOR2 murders FF2 with savage-efficiency.

For a machine that released in 1988 the SEGA Mega Drive really held it together for a long time. The hardware was far superior over the MS & NES. The SNES should have been much better than it was IMO, not to say it wasn’t good. Lower resolution and a slower CPU.. that’s a sackable offence. Still, mode 7 and more colours was a nice addition - with that being said so was Virtua Racing. Who here misses SEGA’s innovation?
