Besides more animated bits for the endings, the Genesis version also had slightly more voice effects than the SNES version. However, the voices sounded rather crude to listen to thanks to the Genesis' FM synthesizer sound chip, while the SNES could produce clearer voice samples.

@@MestreRyu Also the music transitions onto the second round on the Genesis. Not so on the SNES. Genesis version was the better port. Hope Pyron remasters the Genesis version of SSF2 next! And for goodness sake I hope this time he restores the original translation, including the missing portion in the intro character bio cards and missing win quotes (in the Japanese version I believe each character has up to 7 win quotes; the English version reduced this down to 2).

8Mbit a mais fez toda a diferença no Mega, sem contar que os diálogos são os mesmos do arcade, sem quase nenhuma censura como no SNES (a única censura que houve na versão americana foi a omissão dos pingos de sangue no final do Vega, presentes na versão japonesa). Se apenas a Capcom não tivesse feito merda no departamento de áudio (ainda acho que foi de propósito...) Seria o port perfeito

Genesis endings aren't censored and have some additional elements lacking on the SNES port (ex: extra sumo wrestlers in Honda's ending, Chun-Li scene at her father's grave, Milkhail Gorbachev up-close shot with Zangief, Dhalsim on an elephant).

They fucked up the music in Super Street Fighter on the Sega Genesis. That's the only bad thing about that port. Super was a CPS2 game so this ports are quite impressive for their time.

These endings aside, the Genesis version was still an overall better experience. Better sound effects even if the music wasn't quite as good in some ways. The overall playability with the controller and the speed/responsiveness of the game makes it a no-brainer. I bought the SNES version some years ago excited to play it and my first reaction was something between "meh" and "ehhhhhh".

I believe if you beat the game on a highest difficulty without losing a match, you get treated with an image of Dee Jay. If you beat it on the highest difficulty without losing a round, you get treated with a picture of Cammy.

It's very weird because there are two arguments of when SF2 took place. I'm pretty sure originally it was suppose to take place in 1991. But then SSF2 came out, and Cammy being stated officially 19 years of age. Factor in her birth year, it would make the storyline taking place in 1993... conveniently the year SSF2 was released. So who knows. Capcom needs to reconcile this discrepancy.
