Com certeza! Eu até acho que eles trabalharam mais tempo nas músicas do que na jogabilidade, porque vários elementos básicos ficaram de fora como a barra de saúde dos inimigos...

Uma vez eu vi uma entrevista do Yuzo Koshiro, e ele disse que a Sega entregou nas mãos dele a criação da trilha sonora do jogo. E a trilha era tão boa que a Sega pegou e colocou no jogo, sem delongas.

Sim, ele era um artista desconhecido em 1991 mas já havia produzido uma trilha sonora excelente pra Actraiser no Super Nintendo em 1990 e isso deu muito crédito pra ele.

A Sega deveria ter lançado o Sega CD com essa coletânea no pacote ou mesmo o Sonic CD, tenho certeza que as vendas dele seriam muito maiores e esse port ficou perfeito!

Realmente venderia muito mais, mas eles preferiam entregar o console com jogos FMV que eram "a moda do momento" do que esses jogos. O meu mesmo veio com Sewer Shark e o de um amigo veio com TomCat Alley...

Engraçado que esse foi um dos primeiros jogos da Sega para o Sega CD, tentando mostrar justamente como a qualidade de som do add-on era melhor que a do Mega Drive... Mas eles erraram feio como você disse ai! O mais importante, que eram as músicas, eles não podiam trabalhar porque não sobraria espaço no CD para mais 3 jogos.

É uma pena... Outra coisa que eu nunca entendi desde criança sobre o Sega CD. Pq eles não colocaram no periférico um processador mais potente com mais cores. Não iria ficar tão mais caro e daria para jogar coisas mais bonitas. Outra coisa que deveriam fazer em 2018 era um Remake em HD do streets of rage 2 com gráficos e cores retrabalhados. Algo semelhante ao street fighter 2 do nintendo swith. Sony Sucks- No, I have not tried Mega Turrican. And it looks like I may not for a while. I just check prices on eBay and used DECENT copy, complete with box, averages in the ballpark of one hundred fifty dollars. And I don't buy Sega games without the box. I never understood how someone can lose a Sega Genesis box! The game snaps right in. DUH! Nintendo brand- fine. Those are cardboard, so I see why someone would throw away a cardboard box, but a hard shell box made to protect your game? That's stupid. This is just my opinion, but I believe M Turrican is an example of one of those games that was not marketed well, and there were few made available for sell. I was a subscriber to SEGA Visions magazine (no internet back then) and I just don't remember M Turrican. However, after doing a bit of resarch, I just found Mega Turrican was in issue 18 of Sega Vissions: www.retromags.com/magazines/usa/sega-visions/sega-visions-issue-18/ The thing is, it didn't pop out at all, in the magazine, and was masked by the 32-bit hype war that was at it's climax back then. I was still trying to conquer Sonic and Knuckles and had about given up on Maximum Carnage and The Incredible Hulk. So, if you can imagine, a kid without the Internet focusing on three already difficult games at the time, and not having the press coverage I needed for the games I needed to know more about, Mega Turrican would be one of those shoot-em-up games that would be way beyond my comprehension at the time. I was perfectly okay with Super C on NES for a shoot-em-up, which when compared to beat-em-ups (i.e., Streets of Rage, is apples to oranges). Super C was the only shoot-em up I owned as a kid. Anything beyond that, I would have to go to the arcade for Sunset Riders and others. Any high-adrenaline shoot-em up game that takes me longer than twenty-five minutes to beat was not cool with me back then, and it is still that way today, although I'm more patient in my wiser years today. That being said, I can honestly assert that the hype of Mega Turrican today would be closely associated with games like Little Samson, which in itself is grossly over hyped, in my opinion by some nerd that lead a conspiracy to create a false market on eBay, through years of manipulating other nerds at gaming conventions (kidding, but still, ridiculous hype on Little Samson). NOBODY and I mean NOBODY talked about Little Samson on NES, on the school bus or at school. I never even saw a copy for sale in any retail store where I lived. If it was not in the Sears Wishbook, and you couldn't find it in your local retail store, and there was no word of mouth at school, chances are it was a rare, underproduced game, that did not get pushed, but globbed on to by the cool kids in the know. I find it funny how crap games like George Foreman's Knockout were overly hyped in catalogs and retail stores, but when it comes to the really good ones, like Mega Turrican, they sold out fast, and the treasure hunt resumes three decades later. Fender Strat oh. Ok. Maybe you could download a ROM (from Wowroms). And as advice. Use Kega Fusion. In my opinion it's the best Genesis emulator. It even emulates Sega CD, 32X, Master System and Game Gear! You could play Mega Turrican on it. Like I do. :)
