1. Neveah feels like she's ready due to what was said in her doctor's appointment. She doesn't want to risk missing out on something because she feels worried there is a chance she won't get another chance to experience it. Not sure why but that's what it seems like she's feeling. Plus you can never truly be ready to swipe your card. Even when you prepare there will still be a part of you that doesn't feel ready and wants to hold back. 2. Braeden thinks he's lost out on the girl who very well may be the love of his life. So he's trying to fill that void to try and replace Lynn's spot with anything or anyone he can. He doesn't actually have feelings for the girl, but he knows she has some for him so he's using that to his advantage to get what he's looking for from her. But the only one who can truly give him what he wants is Lynn. And Lynn doesn't even know what or who she wants. She's torn between her safe option and her risky option. She likes both but isn't sure she's with the one she truly wants or not but he still checks all the boxes and proves to her that he's good for her. Whereas she is just good for Braeden but doesn't see any signs saying that he in return is good for her. So she's sticking with the safe and more trustworthy option.
