I like this. I stay in Edinburgh just now, and whilst it definitely has its good points, it has lost the appeal it held for me when I arrived as an 18 year old from a small town. Too busy, very fast paced, crowded and congested. Also not as clean overall as Auckland looks, although it has some very nice cleanish areas. The city centre and its surrounding areas are dirty, and there always seems to be roadworks and diversions happening all year round. I'm hoping to move somewhere a bit quieter before too long. Auckland seems to be more balanced - certainly not lifeless, but not as full-on as Edinburgh.

You are correct Nz has a very cooler climate but Auckland is the warmest of the main cities in Nz . Temperatures in summer and winter are quite predictable

Nearly 2million live in Auckland you have to consider Our city is the second most spread out City in the world therefore a small city population and city size but the suburbs are huge
