Yep..! I have been to this market.. and, as you say, "It's a wonderful place"... Seafood of any kind available daily and service.. Or you can take it home as you point out. As an American, I truly appreciate the freshness and unadulterated service . It is so difficult to buy shrimp with the heads on, much less alive..! You relished eating the steamed crab brains... I miss that.. Great stuff...!!

As an American, from Maryland... best crabs in the country... who eats the brains???

If you live near Asian supermarkets in the US, you can buy fresh, live seafood there. Of course not as cheap as in Thailand for the most part, but still fairly reasonable if you go during sales. For example, you can buy fresh dungeness crab for about $5-$7/lb. They will have live shrimp as well.

very good review, honest and lively/fresh. I like it that you give an honest review of some of the foods, when its not so great for whatever reason (e.g. fried fish is too dry). Some famous food reviewers (including the famous one also from Thailand) always give thumbs up to every food he/she tries, out of being respectful to the vendor or wanting to make his/her videos have a positive vibe always. But you can be respectful with giving a "negative" review as well, but as long as it's done without any intended malice or bad intention. I mean, you just can't believe that every food on earth is done right and taste awesome , every single time. This would be Eutopia if that was the case. Keep up the good work, really enjoy your videos.

When I visited Khao Yai National Park I had green mango (hard like an apple) which came with a small package of sugar mixed with, I believe, dried chilli (is that possible?). It was not a paste, like in this video, but just mixture of sugar and chilli, not sure if there was something else inside. It was surprisingly good! But of course Thai sweet yellow mango with sticky rice and condensed milk is my favorite :P Thanks for sharing this seafood market, it's bookmarked for my next visit, hopefully with some of my Thai friends. And the coconut place too. Is it right next to the market?

I've been to that market I think ( only got half way through the video ) - it has a park you can sit in to eat the food around the corner . It is a great market but its not cheap really considering you expect things to be peanuts in Thailand ( I was there 2000 = everything was pennies and then twice around 2019 ) Oysters in the UK ( Scotland) they sell them on road via "honestly box " next to the oyster farms on the sea lochs for 1 pound ( 60baht = 1.50p ). Lobster even though frozen are in supermarkets for less 400 baht in Europe probably a kilo or under. Where there is no comparison in quality = fresh is king but that lobster in the supermarket has flown all around the world , Been processed and handled 5 times and had 200baht tax put on it When I was at that market - we just ordered the prawns , had them cooked and then sat in the park. After getting meat on sticks 10baht x 10 . Plus a sugar cane drink , I had never had the drink before , so it was amazing . It's a good day out and something different. I personally don't like fish I only eat prawns, caviar, Lobster, cod ,plaice etc . But will eat any fish they put infront of me on holiday , just because why not and I don't want to waste food . But I won't eat raw fish . I was in a couple of restaurants in pattaya and 2 prawns ( the massive ones out of tank ) cost me 1000 baht . They were nice but nothing special in comparison to the readily available king prawns @ 100 baht for 5 Lastly- by that market are restaurants " all you can eat buffets" .... its actaully cheaper to eat in them than it is that market . They will most certainly sell prawns and some other fish . As well as all the meats ( beef , pork , chicken ) plus all the mushrooms, noodles ,rices , chips , salads and deserts . Everyone goes for the prawns at the buffets - you can most certainly eat a kilo of them plus other foods for the price it costs for 1 kilo plus 30 baht cooking fee at that market . This is why I can't wrap my head around the prices in that market = in restaurants, vendors its cheaper . My preconceptions of markets like that is they are wholesalers ( billingsgate in London) where fish or meats are at the very least 25% to 50% cheaper = its not really in comparison to eating in some of the restaurants or many "buffets " they have in pattaya . Its crazy pricing and doesn't follow western " it's cheaper at the source " and cutting out the middlemen .
