Some of the solo sounds is extremely difficult to match. There was so Harmonized tricks that nobody to this day know how to emulate. But that’s more a preset and tone thing. As for style, completely different style here. Zakk can play Dime licks,with that said Zakk is Zakk Dime is Dime. Anyone who ever tried to learn Dimes Solo immediately notices that it’s hard to play them without mastering Dime’s technique first. Notes don’t matter as much because he played a lot of pattern- based licks like Eddie,what’s mattering is mastering his fretting hand trills,amp gain feedback.squeals,Floyd tricks, and big stretch that requested a strong pinky. So far he is doing great in my opinion.He is representing Dime and his music. Sorry I was replying for somebody else too but he deleted his comment.

Sometimes over complicating a solo takes away from the experience and the feeling altogether. I feel the same thing with the sleeps solo. That is just another masterpiece. Every time Dimebag played something melodic it was always really good. Really pretty, tasteful and moody. He was an amazing melodic player.

Phill is a Wild dude, great front man, made some major mistakes and ended up destroying the band and later his public image. Made a bad comment advocating for violence against Dimebag that got published and Vinnie would sooner go to his grave than repair his relationship with him, which speaks volumes on it's own, but I can't hate a guy whose carrying baggage he'll never be able to put down. Wouldn't have been the same band without him.The shows I went was freaking awesome. I also thought it was respectful to Dime and Vince and their memory. Also, when the band was playing literally not a single goddamn person there gave a shit that it was half Pantera. Not to mention Zakk was Dime’s close friend! @Diabloproductions9 ай бұрын
True. He uses a vibrato that goes around the note. He bends both string up above the pitch and down during vibrato. He does full step . He's not just doing it at random and doing it as hard as he can. He really knows how to control it He takes it to a whole new level. @Msbnzz what I have learned is to master something it's your whole life surrounded by it from a young age I'm a huge metal fan and watching them growing up I realize there whole life is that instrument nothing else matters been a mechanic my whole life my kid asked me to teach him I told him I don't know where to start I told him what I know didn't happen overnight 30 years of doing the same thing I feel that would be the same way a guitarist would feel
@Diabloproductions9 ай бұрын
I totally understand you, trust me it’s never too late to get started and it’s not that hard. People worry far too much about how long it takes to do this thing. Learning an instrument is a lifelong pursuit. Just get started. Then keep going. A year of that would make you solid. And two years of it could make you fairly dangerous. I have an obsessive need to learn about things I am interested in, guitar was new to me so I did everything I could at the time to speed up the process through intensity. My advice?As long as you are physically able to play an instrument, you can learn. Stay dedicated and don't give up. Every expert was once a beginner😊. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 🙋♀️

It's inspiring to see the change in Phil in that he seems to have healed in so many ways, he's gotten sober and let go of all that pain & hate and I respect the hell out of him for that and for doing this tribute for Dime and Vinnie the right way. His voice is as strong as it's ever been the guy is a beast to destroy all of those demons including a crippling addiction when he could have easily ended up like so many other successful musicians that went down that dark road. Respect brother and a huge hell yeah and shot of Jack for Vinnie and Dime! 🤘🏼

Negative bias towards Phil Anselmo Neo nazi situations in the past. How often do non-nazis unironically sig heil and yell white power? he claimed it was a joke about how they had been drinking white wine all night, and apologized. Rob from Machine Head said there was no white wine back stage, and that Phil was lying. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe him. His brain is fried from all the drugs he did and i think he just did something stupid to shock some hecklers. It shouldn’t matter now . These dudes aren’t role models, just good musicians. Phil is totally committed now and sounds great. But the Guy's an unhinged a**hole 😊
