You should review Everygotdamndre next. He also does a full body split but using primarily kettlebells and complex moves. He’s an absolute beast.

I ran the program for 12 weeks. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is no longer than an hour, hour and 15 if you take longer rest. It is BY FAR not even close to "brutal" as you quoted, or 2 hours... maybe try it before shitting on it

Is there any reference to training age for the athletes following this program? I have used some of Ryans workouts randomly and enjoyed them, but all of which have been designed for a much higher level athlete, for sure. Great breakdown Jason.

I'm sure a lot of people coming from CrossFit enjoy this style of training, but irregardless of training age, this program is lacking in solid fundamentals.

@@jasonbrowncoachingI completely agree, Jason. After studying OPEX CCP, I gained a much Stronger grasp of the programming. I'll be enrolling in your course very soon as well. Always need to be learning and you are one of the few I highly respect in the industry. Been a follower and fan since Box Programming in 2019.

Commenting on an old video, but what the heck. I agree with most of what you say about this program (never heard of the guy, assuming he programs for crossfitters). The one thing I have an issue with is your definition of full body. I prefer Erick Helms' take as in "any body part CAN be trained, not necessarily WILL be trained. On a 5x full body if a day has just a squat and no hinge or just a pull and no press, I still call that full body as long as the patterns are well distributed throughout the week (not saying they are here). So TO ME if I take an upper/lower split and do squat jumps on my upper day and face pulls on my lower day (no idea why I would do this, just an example) I'd call it full body.

Taking this specific program out of the mix, what is your opinion of full body training for adding muscle in comparison a more tradition split variation assuming the athlete is consistent regardless of the program. Do you think one yields better results?

For some, FB yields better results. I train exclusively FB and I’m in better shape at 40 than I was when I was 30.

Full body seems to be taking over. Is this the best way to train? What about your typical bro split but heavy on the compound exercises ? I do 5/3/1 but I kinda have it split up like a bodybuilder split. 4 days a week with some arms at the end of my leg day

Imagine putting nordics in a program for the masses. Then imagine doing it 2x in one week. The % of people who can do a single nordic is less miniscule. Let alone nordics for reps. 😂🤦‍♂

The biggest red flag of online programming is when they put in zero effort to tie a warmup for the work you are doing for the day. This is so lazy on the part of someone writing a program, even for the masses. From the website, Ryan’s reasoning is that “everyone has different ways to warm up relative to their bodies” but that’s just a cop out.
