On this Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, we will hear how Jesus´ own townspeople rejected him and his ministry. After hearing him in the synagogue, the people took offense at him, saying: “Where did this man get all this?” Don’t we know his family? Jesus, the carpenter-son of Mary, “was
amazed at their lack of faith.”
This prefigures the rejection Jesus would receive from Israel leading to his crucifixion and death. But even though they rejected him, Jesus would still share with them the grace of salvation. He would plead with his Father: “Forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.”

Thank you so much Cardinal Tagle ! I'm really blessed through your teachings. In a world where it' s all about success and power, it Can be very difficult to live when we face failures and feel weakness. But your teachings are always there to remind that we don't have to fear or be ashamed of failures and weakness because God's grace and power are sufficient for us and made perfect through them. It touched me to think that even Jesus was rejected but yet He still continued his mission.
