That, and the fact it will be impossible to get a real front rack position. The weight can't rest on the clavicle because the bar is too big, rather it's being held in place by their arms. This is probably why the powerlifter kept dropping it at the beginning

@lorenzobolognez75648 жыл бұрын
Overall Tim deserves the win. His form is better in the 3 exercises. Daniele cheated on the dead lift: first 20 reps he did not extend fully his lower back and he used the bouncing of the weight on the floor. But agreed there should be a rematch. Log squat doesn't make sense. It's killing their lower back. With a bar Daniele would still have a chance to win.

Also, I have never met a single powerlifter who actually performs dips on a regular basis and very few powerlifters do front squats, and I have also never seen a powerlifter use a log in training. This was a bodybuilder competing against a powerlifter in bodybuilding exercises. Completely unfair.

@bishcashani24268 жыл бұрын
Dude, DO NOT train this, front squats sure, but this exercise is retarded. The only reason your competitor was able to do them is because his shoulders are bigger so he had a better base to rest them on. I know you guys busted your nuts over this but the whole thing was somewhat of a shitshow. The judging is lax as hell, you've been training for 2 decades you know a lot of your deadlifts weren't locked out, but hey if they let them pass - not your problem.

The log bar squat really isnt about who is stronger. Don't get me wrong, it takes a lot of strength to do it but its more about who has the greater flexibility to be able to squat low but still keep your body in a straight position so the weight doesnt pull you forward. I would recommend getting rid of the log bar squat as it is kind of unfair in a straight up strength competition.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems as though experienced bodybuilders basically have gained the ability to perform like powerlifters but with much, much more endurance, due to their higher-rep nature of training? Progressive overload gets you strong as hell but since a bodybuilder typically trains higher in rep then they have the benefit of developing great endurance while developing great power, too. Any thoughts?

Creo que no has entendido mi comentario. Repito: comparar 2 levantadores de peso con una diferencia de peso corporal de 30 kg, no sirve.
