that grain dessert resembles a grain dish that the christian orthodox make for memorial services.. the dish is called "kolyva".. it's made with wheat grain ( that is soaked until soft), and then mixed with sugar, raisins and nuts .. it's given out to all the people that attend the memorial service at church ( usually 30 days , I believe , after the persons' passing )..

We are doing a venison Wellington for Christmas, 2nd year in a row because it was such a huge hit last year. Got some nice loin pieces to do it with. 🎉 The food Mary B. Did here looks absolutely wonderful. Bet it would be fun to make some of it.

My favorite stuffing is pork apple and thyme. Usually 3 stuffing and this year I made a cranberry, chestnut and walnut nut roast and am making a smaller version as an other stuffing
