As always sending awesome vibes :) WHAT IS STRESS: Stress is something everyone feels at times, and there are all kinds of stressful situations that can be a part of daily life. Low-level stress can even be helpful or motivational. There are plenty of things you can do to help cope with stressful events, and simple steps you can take to deal with feelings of stress or burnout. Stress is the body's reaction to feeling threatened or under pressure. It's very common, can be motivating to help us achieve things in our daily life, and can help us meet the demands of home, work and family life. But too much stress can affect our mood, our body and our relationships - especially when it feels out of our control. It can make us feel anxious and irritable, and affect our self-esteem. Experiencing a lot of stress over a long period of time can also lead to a feeling of physical, mental and emotional exhaustion, often called burnout. Stress can cause many different symptoms. It might affect how you feel physically, mentally and also how you behave. It's not always easy to recognise when stress is the reason you're feeling or acting differently. Physical symptoms: • Headaches or dizziness • Muscle tension or pain • Stomach problems • Chest pain or a faster heartbeat • Sexual problems Mental symptoms: • Difficulty concentrating • Struggling to make decisions • Feeling overwhelmed • Constantly worrying • Being forgetful Changes in behaviour: • Being irritable and snappy • Sleeping too much or too little • Eating too much or too little • Avoiding certain places or people • Drinking or smoking more NHS self assessment tool for stress: www.nhs.uk/conditions/stress-anxiety-depression/mood-self-assessment/ POSSIBLE CAUSES OF STRESS: Stress affects people differently, and the things that cause stress vary from person to person. The level of stress you are comfortable with may be higher or lower than that of other people around you. Stressful feelings typically happen when we feel we do not have the resources to manage the challenges we face. Pressure at work, school or home, illness, or difficult or sudden life events can all lead to stress. Some possible causes of stress are: • Our individual genes, upbringing and experiences • Difficulties in our personal lives and relationships • Big or unexpected life changes, like moving house, having a baby or starting to care for someone • Money difficulties, like debt or struggling to afford daily essentials • Health issues, either for you or someone close to you • Pregnancy and children • Problems with housing, like the conditions, maintenance or tenancy • A difficult or troubled work environment WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE: • You're struggling to cope with stress • Things you're trying yourself are not helping • You would prefer to get a referral from a GP Referring yourself for therapy If you need more support, you can get free psychological therapies like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) on the NHS. You can refer yourself directly to an NHS psychological therapies service (IAPT) without a referral from a GP - www.nhs.uk/conditions/cognitive-behavioural-therapy-cbt/ Please seek emergency medical help if, • You or someone you know needs immediate help • You have seriously harmed yourself - for example, by taking a drug overdose A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.

According to data gathered by the American Institute of Stress, 51% of adults experience fatigue, 44% experience headaches, and 30% have tension in their muscles due to stress. For students in college, stress statistics show that they're also victims of fatigue due to chronic stress. Very helpful video on stress relief! Thanks!

You are right ! Also, I suggest you try meditation or simply relaxing music. It's a simple way to reduce stress and anxiety. Meditation provides a soothing of the mind and helps to connect with yourself. Obviously, this does not prevent being followed by a health professional. However, I believe it's a good way to take care of yourself and make you feel better. I sincerely hope that you will find your means to fight your stress.

What really works for me and if the situation allows it, taking a very cold shower tends to really help. It's so helpful to the point that I completely forget why I was stressed at the first place.

I've been losing my hair alot and I'm only 18 turning 19 in October and I haven't eaten anything healthy in a while because my mum passed away in March so I lost my motivation and my hair is falling out alot but I'm trying my best to get back into the gym and eat healthy and hopefully stop losing my hair and my stress especially

Im back, so here it is - actually I mix this stress relieve technique during my meditation and yes it worked. On the second day, I did this when I felt overwhelmed and had a tight jaw, it subsides a bit after it. Now I'm practising this as daily routine

I get stressed and I try to ignore it because I feel like I'm in a position where I'm not allowed to buckle. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my grip on reality and I can't talk about it. I want to shield others from the horrors in my head. But it's a lot to carry.

Abraham, you've made so many videos on dieting and exercise, but you've never made a video about running (considering you like to run). Can you make a video about how to increase running endurance, your favorite running gear (like shoes, etc.), any safety gear you take with you (like pepper spray lol?)...does running actually help relieve stress? How often do you actually run? I hope you can make this video happen one day :)

I have a trauma with suicide and online friends, a lot of them would be suicidal a lot and it really scared me for ages. This was at 12, and I’m still panicking whenever my friend just has a somewhat bad day, and this helped

I quite like the advice at 1:55. I do need to relax my facw, it's true. I can't tell you how many times my facw got all twisted and screwed up at work. People keep saying, "Hey man, why the long facw?" And I say, "Sorry I'm just facwing a lot of stress right now."

I have been stressed and have had extreme anxiety almost my entire life. It feels like my chest is tight or that I can't breathe. I finally noticed hair loss and I'm only 21, so I decided to finally learn how to manage it cause it's ruining my life. Hair loss was the last straw LOL

I am sorry u may find me replying in comments related to a zikar which helped me in getting rid of stress. Plz admin don't mind i am not against ur videos or medicine etc. It's just i my self have been depressed, took antidepressants, they did nothing just worsen me physically and mentally more. Until zikar helped me Alhumdulillah. I just want the same for other people who r still not finding peace after trying all stress reliever techniques. Nice video! I actually make a strong effort to listen to music on the radio on my way to work instead of listening to the news. Having a pleasant tune stuck in my head throughout the day seems to make my day go easier.

This might help with immediate stress, but don't know how much this will help with longer term stress. Will try the techniques, as I'm stressed I'm likely just being pessimistic

Look on KZbin Team Fearless it will change ur mindset like it changed mine after I suffered a Stroke n End up on Wheel Chair but I recovered from Stroke 😉 plus not only Started walking but started Running driving Teaching again Give it a go Hope u feel better
