Keep looking! 1. Don’t compromise on location. 2. Stick to your budget I know you like that minimalist modern look, but they don’t make them like they used to. Those newer buildings are typically not well made and you not only have to worry about road noise, but neighbor noise. Good luck!

Yes 100, stick to the Budget 🎉❤ and good luck!!! I feel for you a lot, getting a nice appartment is sooo hard if your budget is tight... But u also u need to feel well at home so this man is right, choose a nice location where u feel right at home when u enter or see it, ok???

I lived in the 750 sq ft Mayan unit at Lofts at NoHo Commons for over 10 years. Once you move your belongings in, there is no echo. However, if your unit faces the alley where 24 Hour Fitness is located, be prepared for a lot of noise. Early morning food deliveries for the restaurants on Lankershim are loud, with trucks slamming doors and dragging crates at dawn. At night, there’s additional noise from the bar patrons and transients coming from the Metro station. The building has a high turnover rate, with most residents staying only a year or two. The washer/dryer, dishwasher, and stove have been there since the building was constructed in the late 2000’s and fairly outdated and cheap! The gym looks nice, but the equipment is old and often malfunctions. If you are looking for something quieter and more modern, I’d recommend finding a newer apartment building with fewer than 40 units on a residential street in the area.

Надеюсь что ты в порядке. 😚 Если аренда в этой Калифорнии, в Лос-Анжелесе столь дорогая, то может быть тогда и есть смысл перебраться в иной город или штат, тем более сейчас, после этого пожара-то? HA I was thinking "if you get furniture then the echo will be fine...." but then I realized - I trust you with the audio thing - you are the expert! There is a reason voice actors work in small spaces with insulated walls. This was super fun to watch! Thank you for taking us with you! I wish you the very best finding your next space!

Don’t sacrifice the neighborhood for the price, I can say that you should keep looking, but I’m not sure if you are in a hurry. Check more places in neighborhoods that you would feel safe. I speak from experience, the last place I rent I ended up paying a little bit more of what I was anticipated, but it was 100% worth it, because like you I take like 2 walks a day and I like to go groceries in a walking distance. It’s just my advice as someone that spends more of my time in my place and likes to go around my neighborhood. Hope it helps and good luck! Hope you find an awesome place you can call home! ❤

Ugh apartment hunting in LA is *the* worst! I love the last place. Having in unit laundry is life changing, although Lankershim Blvd (I believe that's the street) is super noisy. I know you love that area, but if you go further East, you can get more for your money. I'm now in Highland Park and it's super cute. You should consider it, we can be neighbors :)

As a lifelong apartment person until last year, I can help you with this (and I began sharing a BED with my first roommate that’s how bad my credit was, so I can relate to the come up!), I thought all of these had potential but the key things to look for is A) is the area and building safe? B) Can I afford this for up to two years and will I be able to SAVE so I can upgrade by my leasing terms and C) Does it feel like home? It none of these answered all of them, keep searching and manifesting legend (as I know you already know how to!) ❤

Definitely check out more places in the Valley or around LA, cuz NOHO is TRIPPIN with those prices for those sizes. I had a 2 bdr in NOHO and it was only $1400 and 900 sqft. This was 10 years ago but DAMN have the prices jumped. Almost 3K for something less than 700sqft should be criminal.

The prices are so high, just for a small place. It's like you need a six figure salary just to live middle class these days. I had a roommate for a while but then you give up privacy and have to deal with their crazy behavior, not paying the bills, etc. No wonder so many people are moving out of state. Hope you find a good place to call home!

I love the #5 Hollywood one. The brick is gorgeous, good lighting, it has little nooks for the bedroom area vs. the kitchen/eating area. The mirror closet door is great too. Is the reason it’s so cheap compared to the others the location? Is the neighborhood bad enough that you wouldn’t feel safe? Or could you plan your walks for daytime when everyone’s around?

If you’re open to other parts of the valley my Reseda apartment building has 575 square foot units with really nice new appliances and a nice big balcony for $1775. I don’t love the neighborhood because it’s not really close to anything but it is safe and there’s access to public transit and it comes with a parking spot in a gated lot. Nice pool/gym/hot tub.

Here’s my suggestion, if you haven’t signed a lease yet, this is also a question of if your current situation would be willing to keep you longer, based on my experience, as a full time working artist, although i live in a very different market than LA, im pretty sure things may be similar there since covid, what i would look into : go rental hunting for commercial office or studio space. Most times the rent is way cheaper than than apartments, as there are many companies that have gone fully remote, and due to online retail, you can usually find commercial space at a fraction of the cost, no technically you cant “live” there, but you can spend 90% of your time there and you can just go home to sleep. Trust me the space you will look at will be 10x bigger and you can have the freedom depending on the landlord to do whatever you want to change the space. Your money will go further there. I suggest this as something i have done, as during covid i got a great rate and many times you can negotiate, but i made the decision to fully invest in my business and have since grown and expanded what i do by renting a commercial artist studio space, which not gonna lie, between u and i i have taken naps here, have a pullout sofa bed for times when I’m working and need to rest, but i kept my roommate and residential place i rent as I’m barely ever there, only go home to sleep and take a shower then I’m right back to my studio. The building i happened to find is where there are a lot of councilors working out of, so you can usually look that up in your search or look up artist studio rental. I wish you the best of luck! 🤞 ❤🌠✨

Basically if you can afford to keep your current place and add on a commercial space, you might be surprised what is out there. Or you could also look at commercial spaces that are zoned as “residential and commercial” both and live in your studio, either or… just take a look go commercial hunting and (bring us! ) and then compare all your options! 😘

I’m late replying because I was really thinking about this. I think you should go with a place that is safest. Your walks are important! I lived on the Oregon coast for seven years and walking on the beach, sometimes in the worst weather, was almost like therapy to me. Even tho I grew up on the California coast,I didn’t like my move to Oregon. It was very hard to adjust to. I lived in Colorado Springs before that and I loved it there. I actually moved back to CS after a year of living in Oregon. But my boyfriend wanted to give Oregon a second try and I did a lot better this time. Now I live in Seattle..🙄I still walk but it’s definitely the worst state I’ve lived in. I’m either going to go back to Oregon or Colorado! Having a large space is nice but you will be buying your house in the Hollywood Hills in a few years,so just do a small, safe place for now!😘😁

Why do you not have a Patreon started. It could be the answer to your getting an apartment in Hollywood where you prefer. In America, buying power is crucial. But the one thing I hear about living in Hollywood is people are always moving at the end of a lease. And I assume that is because the rent significantly increases, forcing one to find cheaper rents. I might be wrong, but there must be a good reason for this. Look into that. I know moving again and again is not what you want. We all want stability and I feel you deserve this after your past experiences. So ask some of your friends about that "phenomenon". Why is it that happens so frequently. I'm cheering for you Vitaly.

Hi Vitaly, the word you were looking for was a Guarantor or Co-signer on your lease. I would pick the Second Loft Apartment or the last one. That last one was really nice with the Brick Wall and if it is not too far from your current apartment you could just go there for your walks. You will probably have to sacrifice something so you just have to decide what is most important.
