Absolutely loving this series, Stress! You asked for “first Vault” stories? Well, I’d messed around with the pack a little bit here and there. But then, my wife and daughter wanted to play too. So we got things set up and got ready for their first Vault. Third room we find is a Puzzle Room. I get really excited and explain the room quickly. We decide to spend the rest of our time looting and trying to finish the puzzle. We built up to the sides and I even got some of the ceiling chests. With only a few minutes left, we completed the puzzle and frantically looted the chests. I make for tunnel, but both my wife and daughter keep getting knocked around by mobs. My daughter runs out of blocks, but makes an excellent Pearl throw to get into the tunnel just before my wife finishes pillaring up. We make a break for it and get out with under a minute left. We were so amped up, that we were high fiving as we went over the loot we grabbed. Needless to say, we are all hooked now.

I just started playing Vault Hunters... I finally got my first Crystal together, and was so excited to try a vault that I went in WITHOUT HEALTH POTIONS 😭 I managed to open exactly one chest before I realized and had to bail! 😂

My second vault, I was still mega scared, and I got the trapped modifier. I misunderstood and thought it was the locked modifier, so I thought I had to fight the boss. I panicked for about five minutes trying to orient myself and getting lost, because I'm an idiot who doesn't set waypoints or use coordinates, but in the end I was somehow victorious! Zero health potions left though... Scariest thing ever.

If you are ever nervous about going into the vault remember that in my first vault I walked out of the portal room to the left, got cornered by a creeper and instantly died, and remember that you can easily do better then that.

7:11 You can’t place blocks because there’s a problem with the newest update where you can’t break or place anything on create blocks inside the vault. There is a fix you can do if you go into the config files or else maybe you could bug iskall to put out a fix for everyone? Edit: also you can’t get locked until lvl 25 :)

iskall knows about it and said in stream the other day that they really need to hotfix that so I'm sure a fix is coming soon :)

My first ever vault was absolutly awful, the vault crystal costed a nether star so i had to grind for hours and when i eventualy got it and ran my first vault i died to an explosion after about 2minutes. Kinda rage quitted after that and havent played since.

Yeah, something you don’t see in vault hunters is the learning curve to not dying in the vaults, I went from dying every other vault to almost never dying, giving yourself some soul flames or getting a totem before the vault might make that beginning learning curve a bit more fun. Having an out of vault set of gear can also make dying less frustrating if you don’t want to grind or cheat in soulflames, and don’t be afraid to leave early, greed is what killed me the most in the beginning, sometimes just getting a piece of netherite or a few levels can help a lot.

I find this a bit funny, at least I've seen Iskall's start. Normal Vault Hunter players (Iskall): Play Minecraft until the end dragon fight, then collect the material for the altar from an end city, dust off an Elydra, collect endstone at the same time. Stressmonster: Sits the altar from the Creativ in front of her feet and complains to Crystal 3 that she doesn't want to go to the End.

Well stress, if you'd like to feel better, I went into my first vault with full netherite and died to a witch because I got crowded. And then I went ahead, got geared back up, and did it all over again. Literally, crowded vault died to a witch. Third time I survived but I almost wanted to give up after the second time.

There’s some sort of bug with Create blocks in the vault - I saw a fix on the discord but I haven’t implemented it yet. That’s why you couldn’t place in that room.
