The easiest way to get Lava in Create is by pumping a lava source that's at least 10k blocks using a hose pulley. You can easily find a source like that in the nether, or you can pump one of those big quark lava lakes
@Janakaq02 жыл бұрын
Only problem in the nether is that you have to pump the fluids across dimensions, and I think the quark ones aren't 10k sources since they're like 3 deep
@engreyight2 жыл бұрын
He could also just make one. 10k blocks is just over a 21x21x21 cube, with veinminer that is nothing. Bringing 10k buckets over from the nether is a bit tedious but it only needs to be done once, and minecart contraptions can help. Make one out of tanks, fill it, assemble it, pick it up with the wrench and do the reverse in the overworld. If there are cheap big tanks in the pack, it might just be a single journey.

You know, I imagine that ward is probably one of the best archetype choices for you at the moment, since it would free you from the semi-requirement that your weapon must have some kind of leech/etc., on top of compensating for your declining armor values, while unlike the damage buffs, there aren't really any harsh downsides or requirements. I wonder, does ward allow regen cloud? Here soon (since you went up a mob tier, yet your gear is way lower level), you are gonna run into mobs that crit for most of your health in a single blow. That will make frenzy and glass cannon kill you, and barbaric will land you in an ugly place if you stack rage but need to heal. I'm not sure commander is a good choice for you, since your eternals are dependent on gear as well, not to mention it encourages you to be more passive (which would be a poor choice as a content provider, as well as not fitting with your combat style thus shown, and further nerfs you as well). Just a viewer analysis, I don't have the experience to say for certain *shrugs.

While I think playing with any of the damage archetypes is way more fun, for this youtube series I think it's better to go with Ward. Ward would also allow you to loot more which is also a nice bonus for progression. Just my thoughts :P

@adamfoger48062 жыл бұрын
You don't have to. It's just smart to use them until the mod you want get to 1. And the decoration mods have to reduce the cost of the rest by one, because if they didn't, no one would spend knowledge stars getting them. Plus, by encouraging you to unlock them first, while you are still setting everything up, it gives you the chance to actually decorate your base. Otherwise you'd unlock them last, at the end of the game when you have knowledge points to spare
@codinghub37592 жыл бұрын

@FugaceFugite2 жыл бұрын
Very happy to see vault hunter episodes :D About the archetypes, to be honest I'm not a huge fan of the selection there is, most really focus on offense, with only the ward one going for something else. Now sure they do differ a bit, commander especially, but I would've preferred to see an "Archetype Base" for offense, adding a damage boost, and then a specialization being either barbaric, glass cannon or frenzy, which, although they all play on health in a slightly different way, they all feel like variants of the same idea to me. Also frenzy just feels generally less powerful since it only boosts you when low health and does nothing most of the time. Adding to the base archetype for offense, you'd have one for defense with ward and a couple other as a specialization, one for eternals with commander and a couple others, and one for resources with specializations focusing on either loot (from chests), mining (from blocks) or drops (from mobs). I think the effects could be more game changing on some of those too, ward feels like a very different playstyle, but frenzy feels just like an extra boost if you're in trouble rather than playing with your health, a skill to intentionally lose health to trigger frenzy with a temporary bonus could be interesting for example. The Resource Drop archetype could swap the loot tables for all chests and mob drops based on the room, so what you'd usually find in chests you find by killing mobs. Maybe an archetype base with specializations for boosting enchantments (greater max level and could allow for combinations otherwise impossible like getting smite and sharpness ?), boosting status effects (sharing effects with auras and adding levels to active effects ?) and the last one could play on the vault modifiers while in a vault (kinda like the architect crystal or the cake vaults but as a skill) Anyways just ideas, I just think there's a tremendous amount of potential for classes in a mod pack like vault hunters, and seeing 4 out of 5 archetypes focuses only on dealing more damage with a twist is a bit sad. (seriously, even a gambling related archetype is missing !) I would personally prefer a resource archetype or the one for vault modifiers, but since that's not an option, I'd maybe pick Glass Cannon because I usually like this risky but effective playstyle.

You can haunt the sand to make soul sand with a soul flame in front of a fan. Soul flame has a pretty big chance of dropping quartz if you wash it with a fan. This avoids the lava problem while being automatic. I built a machine for it in my create mod single player world.

there are some super cool ways to make infinite lava genetators as long as you can supply the netherrack for blaze cakes! this was a wonderfully fun episode to watch, super high quality as usual and the vault was super cool. i think i have a design somewhere in a creative world. shame there was no other ore rich rooms and scary to be on the level 75 mob tier! hope there are no vault accidents coming up but i agree that it is not worth going for an archetype quite yet. i think my favorite would be commander for the archetypes!

I vote for Ward for now, because in most vaults, you’re not gonna be fighting too much. If you ever have to do some challenge crystal or raid vault or something, you can switch to Barbaric easily because the flasks for archetypes are really cheap. Barbaric is really good for combat, I was able to clear the entire Final Vault with just that. Once you get better eternals (Your children aren’t good enough, Iskall) you could always go to commander instead. Also, I recommend putting your crafting grid into ‘JEI synced (two-way)’ mode. Right now, if you search something on JEI and then go to the crafting grid, it’ll reset and you’ll have to type it again.

Hey iskall, you can grow corendrum. If you have waxed corendrum, rightclick them with an axe, place them in a dark place and leave. They grow upwards and quite quickly.

Iskall, in the Create mod there is the pump, if it tries to "pump" a area of any liquid with a total size of 10.000 blocks the mod considers it infinite, with this way you can pump lava from the nether and get all the lava you need, you can also farm void liquid that way, but it will take a really long time. hope this helps

I would love the greedy play of going glasscanon. It seems really fun and seems to make the vaults really risky and challenging. Greetings from Uppsala.

Andesite Farm Tip: You can set it up in the nether and using a create pulley hose connect the contraption up to a lava lake of at least 10,000 blocks. This is recognised as an infinite source of lava. Then pump a cobble stone generator from the overworld into the nether via a portal, crush it three ways into gravel and flint, and into a mixer to make Andesite 👌🏼 You can make the gravel and flint in the over world if that’s easier

You can create lava also by the vanilla way. If you use drip stone with lava above and a cauldron underneath, you can pump the lava out with create. It's a lot easier than the create way, speaking out of experience :)
