The no. 2 carriage on the wrapper I run is not stopping when the reed switch lights up and it wants to cut and clamp at the same time leaving little to no tail.A few months back the no.1 carriage was doing the same thing and a member of maintenance replaced a bad solenoid but during pm the other day a member of Atlantic Pkg was on hand but he would not listen to me and even said it was not supposed to stop and that it was a straight through procedure and that the reed switch did not tell it to stop so all that was done was a few turns of the air cylinder adjusters which just made things more out of sequence.

Good info. And for older machines, if it does not have an angled clamp like this, you should get the brackets to change that immediately.
