Wow, at that triple speed, you could water ski behind the boat. Thanks for bringing us along on the journey! This really does have a unique appeal as an alternative form of travel.

Thanks for that. It is nice to know that the cat parts of the video are genuine for each cruise and not just stock footage.

Yes, I record the cats nearly every time...when I remember. Sometimes I keep the cats in for a while if there are dogs around.

Thank you for another armchair excursion for me. Just the ticket for someone like me who doesn’t get out much.

At around 8:30 the private inlet on the right looked like a neat place to have if you had the money to buy land and make one. For a mooring. I vote for only double time Vid's, all your Vid's are worth the extra time watching !!!

It's quite a dilemma for me. Most of my viewers don't want the videos to be too long. So my choices are 1. speed up the video, 2. make it a two parter, 3. chop bits out of the trip, 4. or a mixture of the previous three. In this video the weather was not very nice and the trip was not very interesting after the first bit. It didn't warrant being made into a two parter, and since I normally show the whole trip the only other option was to speed it up a bit. However, most of my videos will be double speed - it's a good compromise.

Narrowboat Journeys Good morning phill Yes I agree, I would rather see all you put up when you can see it all like going through where roses boat yard is, that was brilliant, I think your the first one I have seen who carried on filming past the swing bridge and that is what makes your vlogs special.

Thank you. As far as I know, just about all of the other boating channels only show the pretty bits. About 80-90% of the trip is edited out. Canals are sometimes very beautiful but just as often they can be quite dull and even ugly. I show the lot - that's what makes my channel a bit different. Whether this is a good strategy or not I'm not sure? The other channels are more successful it seems.

Showing the good the bad and the ugly is what canals are all about, you showing them all is real life, a lot of the other you tubers rely on people wanting to sit and watch them sitting at a table talking about what they have seen or done then they show about a quarter of the air time showing boating things, now a lot of the other tubers have half of their videos showing the out takes, I just skip that part as do a lot of people I have spoken to. Every day life on a canal is what I like, showing where the shops are good and bad mooring spots, where you can get water and a bit about the history of the area is all good.

I've not done out takes before. I would include one if it was particularly funny, but normally I just ignore small mistakes and carry on.

I suppose the extra terrestrials appreciate the flat surroundings for landing their space ship.
