Great video. It'd be cool if you could upload a video on creating realistic expression,dynamics,vibrato etc.. curves to achieve realism. Going a bit in-depth into it and telling us how to effectively use dynamics, how it should be varied based on the speed,length of the passage being played and what not.

The way they've sampled the guzheng makes it sound a bit more like a solo instrument/guqin - does it come with options for the characteristic glissandos, or strums and tremolos like with the pipa? Edit: Also a shame that they haven't done a guqin, but I imagine that's a whole sample library and a half to do it properly!

Hi Ian! The guzheng comes with bends and tremolos. There is actually a guqin sampled; I just didn't cover it in this video. Sorry about that! :)

@@ChristopherSiu No need to apologise at all! I'm always slightly iffy about VSTs for Chinese instruments because they tend to be designed with a very Westernised idea of how 'Asian' music sounds, and the 'Jade Ethnic' branding didn't really reassure me - some really nice sounds here though, and I always love a good pipa tremolo! I would love to check out the KongAudio ones some time - the guqin one is actually quite gorgeous in my opinion, and now I have the idea in my head to compose tracks in style of the soundtrack to Zhang Yimou's films (especially Hero) ...

@@ianwong8380 我们国内三体声音出的一众民乐是世界上目前为止不论是技法还是操作性都是最好的中国民乐音源了，还有Ample声音科技最近新出的琵琶和古筝的音源秒杀Jade这样的音源，感觉Jade这样的音源厂商只适合做一些配乐或者小片段，对于SOLO演奏真是一言难尽。

George Chadwick I’ve had a listen, yes! Although it sounds great, it has a slightly boxy and muffled tone that I’m not the biggest fan of. Otherwise it seems like a great instrument!

This is awesome! I've been eyeing this VST for a few months now, and this'll probably be one of my next purchases in the next couple years. In relation, what's your opinion on Silk Road by EastWest? I just recently found out about it (literally 10 minutes ago), and I'm really considering it due to its cheaper price and other nations' instruments.

Hi Chris, thanks for sharing this fantastic library! I'm having an issue regarding the sustain Erhu - whenever I play long notes, it'll automatically change bow and play twice on the same long note. I've been changing the parameters but it's not working (Erhu 1 Solo KS/Sus Trem etc). Was wondering if you know the reason and the solution? Much appreciated and have a great day! :)
