I think the “preying on people or things” more means that he’s not allowed to specifically eat them, given how he feeds primarily on radiation. I still think it’s a bit silly because he’d still need to eat something for pure biomass, but that’s my interpretation of it.

Radiation isn’t a catch-all solution, it keeps his reactor-heart pumping but Godzilla would still require biomass for said radiation to mutate. He would still shed dead cells that he needs actual matter to replace. Of course, this is me looking at it through a biological lens, rather than a “radiation is magic” one that the Godzilla series tends to lean towards, so perhaps I’m being too staunchly realistic. Edit: Although, even with that said, I don’t understand making it a strict rule. That alongside not allowing him to die I feel would be kinda limiting if a story one wants to tell calls for it. But I’m just some guy, so I’m no authority on storytelling.

Speaking of Godzilla not going away for a long time. After the release of Godzilla final wars. The fans basically had to wait 10 years for another movie. Because during that 10-year wait, some people in Japan are kids didn't know who Godzilla was Cuz basically I think 50% of the people in Japan didn't know who Godzilla was. (Correct me if I'm wrong) However when KZbin came around in 2005. People start to make tribute videos on Godzilla. And so many Godzilla fans made their own fan videos or movies on him Most notable is Deadzilla. If you know who he is. you're the best And also the Cinemassacre reviewed Godzilla games during season 4 of The Angry Video Game Nerd However in 2010. I watched Jurassic Park videos for a week? Until I saw this one video that mentioned Godzilla 98. And as I searched Godzilla on KZbin, that's when I discovered the whole Godzilla franchise. And I was 9 years old at the time. And that was 4 years before Godzilla 2014 came out And the first Godzilla movie I watched was Godzilla final wars. It was on Netflix at the time (believe it or not) And after Godzilla 2014 came out. So many people started to know who he is and he got popular again

It does make sense that one of the rules is that he never dies. We have to thank the Heisei Era for establishing Godzilla’s G-Cells. But imagine, if, Godzilla permanently DIED. And not like the original 1954 film or Godzilla Vs. Destroyah or any other films which have him die but come back, I mean PERMANENTLY DEAD. That would be heartbreaking.

Not everything Lives forever, but they can be Reborn in another form. They can have Godzilla dying and have his life saved in the future Monstervers, right? They have done it before back in King of the Monsters. Godzilla has never really prey on anything, he targets. An example would be finding, taking down Mecha-Godzilla that was challenging him. back in Godzilla vs. Kong. He cares more about getting things done even if he does cause lots of distractions.

Well technically he can't die, since he can simply regenerate. I do think there is a loop hole with these rules. Godzilla can die, but they have to replace him.
