If you look closely at Skar King's eye after he was frozen solid by Shimo (and right before Kong smashes him to pieces), you will notice that Skar's eyes are red instead of their usual blue color. This occurred only after the crystal was destroyed, and his control over Shimo was severed, further proving that Skar King's control over Shimo was very much telepathic in nature, and Skar King's eyes are naturally red instead of blue.

Why do I get the feeling that Drago and Scar King would get along? Seriously I imagine that if they met, they'd notice each other's great power as conquerors, and decide to form an alliance to become unstoppable. I'm not sure if they'd be much of actual friends, maybe it'd be more like a professional thing, but I don't think they'd try to kill each other without good reasons. There was another and darker theory on how the crystal works. Scar king and the apes found one of Shimo’s offspring and killed them for a crystal. Scar king then makes Shimo feel the same pain that Shimo’s offspring felt when they were being killed.

It may be because, after spending so long under Skar's control, it's hard for her to even conceive of living without being under someone's control. Kind of like abuse victims returning to and defending their abusers, or long-sentence convicts struggling to adapt to life outside of prison. So, with Skar King dead, staying with Kong gives her some semblance of familiarity and stability. And from what we've seen of him, he's likely to be more of a "caretaker" than a "master".

Awesome video, my personal headcanon though as to how Skar King can activate the crystal in his hand is that maybe, judging by the glowing blue eyes, his milions of years longevity and his stamina, durability and endurance, he has radiation inside of his body, not as much as Godzilla obviously but he still can transmit the energy from his hand to the Crystal making it glow as it maybe easily absorbed heat and energy to make things colder in Shimo's body when she charged the beam, so all Skar King had to do to activate the crystal was maybe just press it a bit or somehow consciously pass the energy from his arm to it making it glow... There's nothing i have to back all of this up beyond what i wrote here but i thought it was still a cool theory to share guys, have a nice day everyone! 🦧 vs 🦍 🐊 vs 🦎

I would love to see more videos on Skar King’s lore, because it still echoes with mystery. There’s still so many questions about him and his character. Questions such like: How old is he? Is he really tens of thousands of years old? If so how did he live so long despite the ape titans having shorter lifespans than most other titans? Why do his eyes glow blue? Is it the result of his incredible old age and the majority of his life spent in darkness? Or is it because he tapped into some sort of energy which also prolonged his life? What is he? Is he a type of kong subspecies that’s more lanky with orange fur? (I know Adam Wingard said Skar King’s fur is actually painted on and not actually red as a symbol to intimidate the other apes. But he also stated his fur is MOSTLY painted meaning his actual fur could still be more orange in coloration like Suko, who is possibly his son along with other orange furred infants we see.) And if he is a subspecies, why is he the only one of his kind in the tribe? Are the rest of his kind extinct? Is he an outcast? Is that why he is leading a group of apes who aren’t his own species? How and when did he take control of Shimo? And what was he trying to have her do in Rio? Was his objective to start another Ice Age? And if so how would that benefit him? Apes can’t survive in extreme cold so was his plan to start an Ice Age, retreat back to Hollow Earth, then later have Shimo undo it after most life on the surface had died? Or was he simply blocking out the sun because it hurts his eyes? There’s just a lot of questions surrounding his character that still haven’t been answered so I’d love to see more videos on him!

Very cool video as always, only bothering me since the film is out 2 questions Firstly why is GODZILLA sleeping in the Coluseum and secondly has Shimo accepted GODZILLA as ALPHA or does she see KONG as her new ALPHA?

1.) It's been stated that the reason why godzilla sleeps in the colosseum is because it reminded him of his lair in kotm 2.) She wouldn't view either of them as alpha titans because of the fact that she is one

In fact, if the Monsterverse is to bring in those cryogenic weapons, which the military had in some of the Toho films, their invention could easily be explained by the world’s militaries wanting to study and replicate Shimo’s ice-blasting powers.

I personally don't think that Shimo will be able to survive an oxygen destroyer. Especially because her biology seems highly ice based which is a mix of oxygen and hydrogen. Godzilla withstood the oxygen destroyer because he's bio-nuclear fusion type.

I think it would be really interesting if the next movie was the military trying to kill Shimo, Godzilla catching wind of it, and it forced him to turn on the humans.

I can see Kiryu entering the Monsterverse thanks to this. The military wants to kill Shimo, but Monarch won't have it. So they use Dagon's bones to construct their own Mechagodzilla; to stand side-by-side with Godzilla in protecting Shimo and restoring natural order. Maybe the Absolute Zero Cannon is powered by a cloned fragment of one of Shimo's crystals; giving Kiryu and Shimo some kind of telepathic bond? The rest of Kiryu's arsenal would be pretty easy to come by, considering there are still parts of Apex's MG out there somewhere

One theory about the crystal which I found and really liked was the idea that the crystal skar king had was a nerve crystal that used to be connected to her nervous system and while it was severed it still was connected to Shimo telepathically so using it puts her in tremendous pain which allowed skar King to control her

I was surprised to see Shimo still with the apes at the end of the movie despite all she had been through. Perhaps it has something to do with her being kept by Skar King for so long. Although she's now free from his control, perhaps she's just become accustomed to being looked after by the apes. After all, she's fed well, has a safe place to live, and doesn't have to worry about competition from other titans. It's sort of like the befits of being kept as pet in a lot of ways. Or perhaps she just might have felt loyal to Kong after he freed her and that's why she stayed. Either way, I do hope she eventually decides to live a life of her own and migrate somewhere else. Most likely somewhere colder on the surface such as Antarctica or even somewhere in the Arctic like Tiamat's old layer seeing as there's not many places in Hollow Earth I think she'd feel most comfortable.
