One of the things I like most about this movie, apart from the fact that it’s funny as hell, is that, after the first ten minutes or so, you know exactly how it’s going to end but it DOES NOT MATTER because it’s so much fun getting there.

She was exactly the right partner. Sure she isn’t classically trained but she has heart and spirit and was brave. She opened up his world to what dancing was supposed to be about, not flashy costumes and intricate moves out of a rule book. Plus her family was the one who taught him how to properly dance the Paso doble

I love how Scott’s judgment changes. In this scene his judgement is clouded because he’s only thinking of himself and assuming Fran can’t keep up. And in time it changes to open mindedness believing and knowing that she can keep up. If you watch the montage of him working with her on her dancing Frans clothes and appearance changes as she improves with her confidence

Well, not on the top 10 best ballroom movies but in the "Top 10 best ugly duckling transformation in a movie" 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks all the same! 🥰

I am from Peru, but man ! there is something so unique, and so sexy about Australian and New Zealand women when they scream at me, or when am being yell at or reprimanded by them. I love different accents from around the world and all, but by far my favorite, especially when angered , Australian and New Zealand women. Hopefully that doesn't sound weird.
@tinotrivino5 жыл бұрын
yes it sound weird, because Australian woman are like brits and Americans, sin pasion, y muy aburridas, no olvides que esto es una pelicula... viva el pueblo latino, las mujeres son las autenticas! un saludo desde España

How is he still an amateur if he's been dancing since he was six? What exactly is an 'open amateur' and how is it different from a beginner?
@panikaspiyska2 жыл бұрын
I think they say "upper amateur" which gives more sense in this case. But not sure 🙄
@Layla-dd9pg9 ай бұрын
In dance sport, an open amateur is the highest level a dancer can reach because they've already one a championship. They compete at Grand Prix level and can afford to skip smaller competitions because they don't need to worry about building the points to increase their rank. Dancesport isn't considered a professional sport the way tennis or football is. The majority of dancers who compete at the highest level also have other careers.
