Mtg Budget Deck Tech: Mono Green Stompy in Hour of Devastation Standard!

A great mono-green stompy combo is Rhonas's Monument, Longtusk Cub, and Greenbelt Rampager. You can use the energy that Rampager generates to pump the cub and you can keep bouncing the elephant to pump with the monument. Easy to attack with one or two 12/12 tramples.

When do you start with the rotation proof decks? Scythe Leopard can be a 2/2 on the opponents turn if you play Evolving Wilds. And you are not playing them as you don't need it.

I am running a similar deck but more midrange, Rhonas monument is super good with the rampager it's not hard to get 3 or more pumps in a single turn with it, add a long tusk and its infinite 1 mana pumps

My favorite stompy deck atm is my own Lupine Prototype Mono-G stompy deck. I love playing that jank. Key to the City is a key card in that deck. (I've not looked at amonket yet.)

Really sweet deck! On the play it tramples Ramunap Red, which has no way to deal with Rhonas whatsover (apart from Hazoret, but Rhonas buffs another guy so it's not a long term solution). On the draw it's an even battle, we need to get blockers out fast.

Consider Synchronized Strike (SS). It's a good way to block Ahn Crop Crasher &/or Earthshaker Kendra when your creatures are tapped from attacking the previous turn. Even if the opponent suspects you might have SS then opponent has to consider whether to exert at tapped creatures, or attack w/o exert, which then you can untap to block. Also what about Arborback Stomper (5/4 trample w/ +5 life) for the sideboard against Ramunap red? I've been working on a W/B deck to counter Ramunap Red, so I'd be interested to see what ideas you have.

Can confirm, curving rhonas into bristling hydra is one of the most powerful things in the format. Also, noping removal is beautiful

Blue. The Red/Blue aggro deck is very good right now, and I'm curious about a budget Blue version, if that's the direction you are heading. Either way, it sounds interesting. There's some pretty sweet blue cards there aren't featured in any standard decks atm, so it would be my pick for sure. W/B is good, but a little more obvious I think.

Considering you're playing Rishkar I think not playing at least a one of Verdurous is a bit of a mistake unless it's a budgetary thing, huge body, grows everything up, enables Rhonas, I think at least a silver bullet one of is warranted.

I'm very interested and why you did not play virtuous gearhulk. I understand it you're probably trying to go a little lower on the Mana curve than that and that actually makes a lot of sense and I agree with it but top to bottom I feel like the gearhulk might be the best pure Stompy creature in the format just your thoughts again I don't disagree with you just maybe an explanation if you can give one.
