Guess where a lot of their meat (especially beef) comes from? The US. Funny how people talk crap about "American food", but then go on to say whatever oversea food is good when there is a good chance they use the same American grown food.

Some people find broccoli to be extremely bitter. I just figured he was one of them. Sensitivity to bitterness generally lessens when you get older. It's quite possible that he hated it when he was younger, but avoided it for so long that he didn't realize that he no longer hated it. Frying it and dipping it in sauce helps too. I never hated broccoli, but I preferred certain ways of eating it and that was one of them.
