Generally, for frame lock knives, the pivot screw should be the first to come out and the last to go in. It's simpler and cleaner. Other wise, we get what happened to you, and everything starts splaying out on you. And keeping that from happening can be just as much trouble.

@@these7seas Hope it helps. BTW! I just this evening took delivery of a Spartan Harsey. I wanted the 2023 Relic edition, but couldn't find it in stock anywhere, so I went for the 22 Koi, as it was drawing me almost as much. It's everything you said! This thing is a stunning masterpiece.

Much love here for the SNG but even more for Sebenza 21. Nothing comes apart and goes back together as perfectly.

Would you sell that strider tool?

Daniel, your advice on downsizing has been lingering on my mind. I think it's a good change for me as well. May I know where you trade/sell your knives?

Great video! I have a question- I’ll be taking apart my SNG for the first time and the pivot is super tight. I’ve been reading that people apply heat to it to help loosen it. What’s the best way to apply heat without ruining anything?
@these7seas7 ай бұрын
I never had to apply heat. I have the Strider tool that fits very snuggly into the pivot and provides the torque it needs to loosen it up. Now it’s gonna be a different story if the previous owner put red loctite on it. In that case you’ll need to apply heat but since I don’t have that experience I wouldn’t know what to tell you. Do you have the Strider tool? That would be the easiest safest way to loosen these bull pivots.

@@these7seas no I don’t have the tool. I will get one and give it a go though.
