The third knife you showed looks like it was dug up from a sunken ship after 100 years! Really cool

Awesome vid. Mick and Forest are burning it down! I’ve got one of mick’s hissatsu ground blade and I’ve never seen that recurve in the edge of the forward grind. I’ve got to go look at it...

I think his son went on to do his own thing. I haven’t seen these magma, groot, finishes lately. In the blade it looks like cracked ice finish too maybe just called magma idk.

On the flats of the blade it looks like Todd Begg cracked ice finish. I feel like these finishes are uncommon today. I heard Forrest his son went on to do his own thing and so I don’t know if the finishes go away too. Around this same time I was fortunate to get a custom SMF nightmare grind with the handle in a wooden type looking finish which I thin became dubbed the Groot finish. That’s my grail.

I do miss my custom sng. how much was the tiger strip one go for? I'm not a fan of aluminum scales though but I'll live with that if I can find one as a daliy user.

Anybody know how Mick is when it comes to warranty work on his customs? I'm eyeing up a gorgeous custom sng but it would scare me to sharpen it myself for the price
