I will never understand the logic of naming the Gnats "Sabre Slayers". They only downed a handful of Sabres in East Pakistan. Maybe for propaganda purposes but what's the point of it when those same Sabres were massacring IAF Hawker Hunters and Gnats too. Not to mention the that one time of a Canadair Sabre shooting down a Mig-21 and some Sukhoi Su-7s. That's what slaying is.

Assalamu Alikum, I am from Bangladesh and was only 12 years old in 1965. About 57 later, we still have a vivid memory of 1965 war. We will never forget the bravery of PAF pilots in that war.

Imagine, if the IAF today heard that Haider is flying in JF 17 Thunder Block III, what the reaction of the Indians be?? 😂😅 But the most pertinent thing to note is that he keeps stating the lack of modern navigation, that's available to PAF today. He still is so keen and has kept himself informed. Another thing, our hero reads, reads real books. I hope we inculcate that habit as well

Flt Lt. Yusuf fought 1 against 4, after his wingman's drop tank malfunctioned. Three IAF gnats ran away and the fourth surrendered. That aircraft is still in the PAF Museum in Karachi. My Indian friends are welcome to come and see it and have a cup of tea.

One of his pilots in this mission, a PIA Capt later ran into an Indian Capt in Africa - WHO HAD - witnessed the destruction at Pathankot. He admitted that the # of jets destroyed by PAF were greater than those reported.
