He should have clarified that at 4:30 minute mark that the forex price is simply each currencies' value in BTC at the time of the transaction. BTC dictates the value of a currency. He said that but, to me, it emphasizes that BTC is the reserve currency.

Bitcoin was a proof of concept, it worked, but just like the early internet it isnt adequate enough. Thats why Tim Berners Lee created the "world wide web" and we don't use ARPA net anymore. Bitcoin uses far too much energy. You should really research these things. The whole reason other blockchains where created is because Bitcoin is not efficient and gets less efficient the more it scales. Its literally 13 year old technology. Its a payment system, nothing more. Put down the koolaide. The innovation is Blockchain technology itself, not Bitcoin.

@@leemcglone5358 who determines what is too much energy? What if I say Ethereum or Cardano use too much energy? Are you ok with clothes dryers using as much energy as Bitcoin mining? I bet you see the value of dry clothes, problem is you dont see the true value of Bitcoin. Why is energy use even a bad thing? If you have a trillion solar powered garden lights that came on every night, that would take a lot of energy to power them all. But it doesnt matter, because the energy is free, unlimited, and produces no negative side effects.

@@mitchtavio The market does. And scientists who work in those areas. Especially when we are destroying the planet with excessive emissions. What good is a system if it takes 10x the energy that its rival uses to do the exact same task? Picking the one that takes 10x more energy to produce the same outcome isn't logical, its ideologic. Its cult like. But yeah sure let's add another system that takes massive amounts of energy which produces massive amounts of emissions that are destroying our atmosphere. If energy was free, and had no negative outcomes in production then done have yuur old slow system. But when it's a net negative it doesn't make sense. Also the more that bitcoin is adopted the more energy it needs to do the same task. If we applied this ideology to everything in the world it would be a disaster. I just can't understand bitcoin maxis and their refusal to accept bitcoin has a lot of issues and drawbacks. If we can build a better, faster, cheaper and more green system that uses up less resources then why not? Seriously why not? Better, faster, cheaper and less energy intensive is better wouldn't you agree? Forget bitcoin but for anything? Why don't we still use coal trains for everything? Because we have better, faster, cheaper and less energy intensive and polluting solutions. Come back to reality. Bitcoin is not going to replace central banks either. Its bit going to replace the dollar. The bitcoin maxis are the flat earthers of Crypto. Its just not realistic
