I've not tried the Magguts springs. For some reason I'm a little skeptical on their reliability. No particular reason for it other than the unconventional manner of their design I guess. Give it a go and get back to me!😉👍🏻🍻

What on earth is that holster? That thing is GIANT. I’m guessing you don’t appendix carry with that massive paddle. But you’d be better off with a side car holster

It's the American Purebred by Massaro Holster Works. Contrary to what your eyes are telling you, it is the opposite of GIANT. Super low profile. Super light weight. Extremely comfortable to wear and yes you CAN wear it appendix if you want. I don't. It was Concealed Carry Magazine Editor's choice in 2017. Endlessly adjustable as far as ride/cant and position on your belt. You can go from 3 or 4 o'clock to appendix or crossdraw or on your 6. The Website has a warning to only tighten the screw until it stops. Tightening it more could cause damage.

I installed mine on the 7 round magazine, but for some reason the magazine doesnt easily eject. I have to apply a good bit of pressure to pull it out.

Interesting. Mine does the opposite. It comes out fine but you really have to slap it home going in to get it fully seated. Maybe reach out to Strike Industries directly either through social media or the contact link on their website and see if they have any suggestions.

Most times I'm good at identifying how things go together by eyeballing the parts and visualizing how they connect. Sometimes it helps to keep the instructions for reference. 😉🍻

I have bought 2 for my M&P shield 40 coming find out only fit on the 6 round mag only not the 7 round mag

Yeah they aren't made for the extended Shield mags with the sleeves. However, I have one installed on my Shield .40 and I am able to get +2 extra rounds in there instead of the +1 indicated on the box.

I really don't know. I have not used MagGuts. Try it out. Worst case is you end up with two separate magazine extensions. 🍻

I ended up doing the 8 +2 and its a really tight fit. I have to really push my mag in to lock it into the gun. Is this bad if its under high tension like that? Also, when I screwed mine in I went too tight and it went all the way through. I retrieved the screw from inside the bottom of the mag and screwed it back in, but not as far the second time. Do you think this is okay?

Damn they never mentioned anything about locktite during the order or in the product description! Do you think anything will happen if you install without locktite ?

Well thw worse that could happen is the baseplate could come off and your spring and ammo fall out. If you put the screw in tight and just check it periodically you should be good. It's just added reinforcement since there will be more pressure on your magazine spring. The unit installs pretty much like the factory plate aside from that.👊🏻🍻

It seem very technical to just install an extension Plate it’s complicated..that a bad selling point...XTech Tactical has a much easier system..check it out...

Really? You slide a new base plate on, basically like a factory plate then two simple parts after that and that's very technical? Ok. I did take a look at that XTech Tactical. I like that their system works with both the 7 and 8 round mags, but dang that grip gets long with those 8 round mags! 😲😬
