I’m new to orchestral mixing and I found this video very interesting and useful. It didn’t make any assumption on what I may or may not know already. In terms what I would find helpful, I have some tracks where the strings have a very wide dynamic range, and need to know how to manage such things so that at their peak they don’t clip the track or drown everything else out.

SUPER tips my brother. I have ALWAYS loved strings in Hip Hop and other genres of music. I was just telling a friend yesterday that I'm usually the guy who sits in the movie theatre soaking in the orchestration in the scenes or during the credits. LOL! I have done it for so long, I could probably mix a string section with my eyes close. ;-) Thanks for this one Realistic and Sound Oracle. Great gems here. Peace

Fantastic video. I am using Luna and Shape. Using the strings, violins, celli, percussion and later add vocals - I am into the classical compositions. Maybe awesome to see you make a video using these instruments and ad a classical singer, a tenor or soprano and see how you mix that all together :-)
