Thank you so much!! Thank you for showing 5 different pads and how each having its own texture, needs to be EQed accordingly. This was really a sincere teaching effort on your part.

Seems like all those cuts would only apply to one specific note. Once you play a different note with that pad, wouldn't all those build-ups and adjustments have to be different? Automating equalization would work, but if pads are all over the place, it might get a bit tedious.

Couldn’t you say that about any instrument ever though?? Even vocals. Everything we play or sing changes notes.

I notice that when you cut, you keep the Q very narrow. Is it better to have a few narrow cuts on the problem area than one wide cut?
@realisticproductionsLLC3 жыл бұрын
It’s different each song & each sound. It all depends on what’s going on with that particular sound. Sometimes all you need is just a narrow q to remove a small area & sometimes the audio may have a wider build up & requires a wider q.

No comp for pads?
@realisticproductionsLLC4 жыл бұрын
You should checkout a post we shared on our Instagram recently. A lot of samples & VST presets don’t need compression because the sound designers of those sounds usually already heavily processed it, including adding heavy compression. instagram.com/p/CET1Es6n7Vh/?igshid=lp4ydzfnxb64
