Monitor the plant roots health,and how long it takes plus I know the plant uptake is find and not rotting,if so just snip it and stick the plant back in water,very easy method

I prefer water for the string of pearls to root in H20,so I can monitor plant health -how long the root been growing.If its growing it's taking up water,this can be reinsureing the plant roots are growing from watching how long the roots are getting,I would keep track how long it takes to grow the roots at a certain length, usually a inch is great time to introduce the plant back in good drainage,I would recommend Happy frog soil,any perlite,about a quarter added would be adequate.I prefer hang it at a window

Hi Moni K! Thank you so much for your comment! That is a good question..! I've never tried to leave them in water forever, but I will try to find the answer to this (many plants can actually grow in water), but I want to make sure with this one as it falls more into the Succulent side. Once I get the answer I will let you guys know ☺️♥️!

Hi! I usually take them out of the water when I see a strong root system.. IÄM not entirely sure if we can keep them only in water forever..! hmm maybe if we add some nutrition to the water and clean it once in a while? I will see if I can find something about this 😊

@@PlantsandLucia Okay, thank you so much! Its been close to 7 weeks and I've been consistently changing the water every 3 days and it has a strong root system, it is even growing new vines! It seems to be doing really well I just wasn't sure if it was bad for the plant

Apiwan Rattanapimol this is a great question ! I usually wait until the roots are almost as long as the stems, just to make sure 🙃🌿 I will be uploading a video soon about this (actually my next video!) so stay tuned 💕☺️

Hi, Solar Winds here. As soon as the roots show the plant is ready to be in soil. Just make sure the roots make good contact with the soil if they are short. they will burrow their way down.

I think the String of pearl plants are so interesting. Unfortunately for me every time I watered them I would knock pearls off and they'd be all over the floor. Since they are poisonous I was afraid I would miss one that one of my dogs would find...and eat.
