Thank you very much for the nice job, it would be very interesting to try and compare the other technicians of the strings, such as the thickness, a 22kg racket with 1.15 thick and the other 22kg with 1.35 thickness. Also Stiffness, two stringing rackets in the same pounds with a very soft polyester and the other with a very hard etc, and last to test the theory with the same string but in different pounds the mains and crosses.

Things don't usually have to be this extreme. Most people would be very well served by stringing their racquets at 50 +- 5.

45-50 with a more control oriented frame, for most decent rec players seems to be where it’s at nowadays. Comfort, pocketing, power…

I play at 45 now. It is much easier on my arm than 55 and I still have enough control.. It would be interesting if you can compare 45 with 55.

Would love to see this repeated in something like the Vcore 95, or Head Gravity Pro, rather than powerful tweener style racket
@LarzB
@LarzB 5 ай бұрын
@@zacattack5243 the effect is similar. The current vcore 95 is as open as a head speed mp, the gravity pro has a denser pattern than the vcore 95. I need to increase the tension on the 95 compared to the gravity pro to have the same control

The 65 racket looks very flat on the top. Misconception? My guess is that low tension polys are better for low powered, softer and thinner frames than for stiffer powerframes.

Well... For make people understand better, would you find it interesting to say that 35lbs transforms a 100 into a 105/110 and 65lbs into a 95/98 ? (Kind of... Without speaking about manœuvrability)

Rec players should never play with poly strung at 65 lbs. It can cause serious injury.

u have to have dampners on top and bottom to hold the strings in place with the lower tension.

Very interesting.. It also depends on how tight the string bed is and the size of the hoop. I have a Dunlop cx200 tour 18x20 which i string 2 to 3 pounds lower than i would string a speed mp. I have tried a lot and i like to setup my strings proportionally and a 3 pounds lower cross string compared to the main. Proportionally in my case is (in the main) from the middle sideways 3 strings at 23kg, then the next 2 strings 22,5 kg (which is about 1 lbs lower) and after that every need string 1 lbs lower. On the cross i start 4 lbs lower than the middle on the top and bottom 4 crosses with each string a 1 lbs higher (on the top) and 1 lbs lower (on the bottom) To my opinion this increases the sweet spot and spin without decreasing control. But it could also be in my mind. Oh and I'm always stringing a 2 poly hybrid with an edged main string and round cross string.

On your edge and round string hybrid - does the edged string cut into the round? I was wondering that the other day.
@LarzB
@LarzB 5 ай бұрын
@@jean-pierreuys1554 any string cuts into the other one. An edge string cuts a bit more than a round string. But if the cross string would also be an edge string it wouldn't be worseb or better from the main into the cross. In my opinion the edge main with round cross works best to have a little bit more bite and launch angle on my rackets.. Most of my rackets are pretty dense (string pattern), to dail in power and give more control.

@@LarzB Since the knots are not after every string (either the mains or t crosses), in my opinion the differential tensions in adjacent strings would automatically average out and none of the string would be in the tension it was provided with, due to the elasticity and the tension in it.

I stick to 48 last year and this year for 45 as sweet spot, then last month to 40 it's so amazing.... Maybe 35 will be that extreme but please just please try 40-45 that will make you days way better....

So at 4 minutes you hit on the issue with lower tensions. You saw that it actually played well. You hit a effortless creaming winner, but your mind is playing tricks on you and making you "feel" that it would be better higher up as thats what you have always done. Despite not loosing control and having more pace. If you had Hawkeye you would be able to see the data and from that make an educated decision and not one ankored in what your used too.

I'm with the majority of comments here. My racket is strung with multifilament at 50lbs to protect my elbow. With tension loss I suspect I am playing with mid 40s tension quite quickly in any event!!
