I know this is 3 years late but I play dobro in a band out in colorado and I have watched this video like 200 times, everything Andy does in this song is literally perfect - his timing, intonation, note choice, everything, on the fills and then he does that solo which again is absolutely perfect I would not change a singe tiny thing about it. It's so mind blowingly aspirational. I love it and am once again returning to it after a gig high on music and watching fun dobro content, it's SO GOOD

I know I sound like a persnickety ol' curmudgeon, but the slide is actually a Dobro. Josh Graves practically invented it, Mike Auldridge and Jerry Douglas moved into uncharted territory, and there are lots of others, like Rob Ickes and Andy Hall (here) who show that the instrument's potential is still to be reached. Dobros rule! There are some fine players on KZbin, and your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to track them all down. And play them loud!

I've seen everyone from Waylon, Alison Krauss, Garth Brooks, and hundreds of fine entertaining bands. I treated myself and my wife to a live show by the Stringdusters in Asheville NC in 2018. IT WAS THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO! These guys love to jam!
