You're right, it's a tracking device to track and restrict law abiding hobbyists. The ultimate goal is the elimination of recreational pilots, clearing the sky's for corporate commercial UAV's.

I feel that the FAA will be more concerned about enforcing RID for those with Part 107 licenses or influencers who post their flights. In my opinion that would be much easier for the FAA to catch someone not complying and try to make an example out of them. Someone went off on me on another comment because, supposedly we have a group like the NRA called the FPV Freedom whatever. The thing is, If this group was anything like the NRA, RID would be much, much different and probably about safety. love your video, keep them coming, Sir.

Many people in the hobby are going along with RID and it’s the most frustrating thing about this issue. It’s easier to fool someone that to convince someone that they’re capable of being fooled. RID has nothing to do with safety and never has. Great video raising some keys points. 👍

If you look at the history of humanity, the vast majority of the people always supported the atrocities and the nonsense, so if you look at this from that point of view, the amount of people not following the government spell is pretty promising nowadays. A lot of people started looking at the government for what it really is.

@@DanyTomaslife Absolutely right Dany, The advent of electric global comms (internet) ushered in a whole bunch of great things. Generally speaking the democratising of information is liberating unless that information is designed to misinform. When it comes to those claiming to be “purveyors of truth” they are often in the business of misinforming for the sake of their own ideological gain. I have a lot of faith in the abilities of the general population to debunk misinformation. I also have a lot of sympathy for young people figuring this stuff out, it’s much harder in these crazy times. I expect the deep-faking of influential people to make it even harder too. 😎🌎🤷♂️🇬🇧

Its like telling a buglar they have to out a tracking device on their car so police can monitor where they commit their crimes and to make easier to catch them. Does anyone believe that a person(s) planning on doing an act of terrorism or some other illegal activity with a drone is going to equip it with remote ID? If you really believe that then you are living in a fantasy land. It's the same with gun control. The laws so not apply to people intent on using a firearm for nefarious purposes, they are only used against law abiding citizens. Canada is even more delirious; they are requiring control line models to have this technology. It's about control of the airspace. They hope these "rules" will discourage many people to just drop the hobby all together. It's already cost prohibited for your average casual hobbyist.

Yeah, totally not the same. Your license plate also doesn't tell any potential burglars that you are not at home, so they can come break into your house. No one has a right, especially a government agency, whether in public or not, to force a citizen to wave their constitutionally protected rights (4th, 5th, 6th Amendments) and submit to, without probable cause and/ or a 4th Amendment warrant, government tracking, surveillance, and control of a citizens private movements while enjoying a hobby, all while collecting and recording evidence that can, and will be used against a citizen in any FAA prosecution against them. It doesn’t get more unconstitutional than that!

This system is so full of holes and relies on honesty. What happens if you buy a RID module then register it in someone else's name? How effective is RID if an aerial attenuator is fitted to reduce the broadcast range? What happens if the GPS recieve aerial is blinded with tin foil? Who is going to check? Think about all the issues we have had in the past with vehicle registration (plates), then apply them here.

Remote id makes many people unsafe! Remote ID only proves that your being tracked and your aircraft is being tracked every time you fly! Also the data recorded and saved. REMOTE ID does not prove the pilot or flight is nefarious or not. It only proves the person is compiling with the regulation. Who knows this could even be a stolen/lost transponder as well someone is using to mislead authorities.
