One of my closest friends passed away in a bike accident on the spot two months ago. I was beside him when he breathed his last. Me and him were melody junkies and ran a radio show where we play Strings all the time. And now whenever I listen to this song, it makes me cry when Bilal goes, “Kar mera intizar, MERA BICHRA YAAR!” 💔🥺

This is THE best Live Encore performance ever! This takes me back to March 2003... Musharraf's rule was setting some things in the right direction, Lahore was decorated in Spring colors and flower baskets, thanks to Kamran Lashari, India was going to play Pakistan in a cricket series, foreign tourists were spotted walking on mall road, had just got this new album from Strings. It was a beautiful sunny and breezy day in Lahore. It had rained in the morning so every place was clean and vibrant with colors. I was driving to hall road to check out some new computer gadgets, from New campus bypassing the canal road and taking the streets within garden town. I was in my beat up Suzuki FX with the windows down and Strings Dhani blasting on my stereo tape player in car. Cool fresh breeze filling the car. There was s small roundabout within those garden town streets.... and I missed my turn a couple of times because I was listening to this song and making airplane with my right hand out the window..... I drove around that round about 3 times..... a certain sense of happiness and positive vibes.... that is my happy place ever since. This is what this song means to me.

I love that they do this song "slower" now. It showcases how our lives going faster but we want to slow down and listen to the words of our heart. We all grew up on this song when life was simpler, our heart first heart break, exams, long lonely car rides in the dark pathways, you name it. I always wondered why they named themselves Strings. I get it now, its to pluck at the Strings of our hearts and remind us of the simpler times so we never forget it. Reminds me of my sister, my one true friend, who is no longer with me, we used to listen to this together. Miss you Annie. Thank you Strings. You are amazing.

What I'd pay to go to a late 90s early 2000s Junoon concert... or early-mid 90s VS concert

Came here after the announcement. Thank You for all the music and memories. I know everyone wants the band to carry on but I guess they have concluded Strings at the right time. 33 years of melodious memories. Hope to see these guys around in Coke Studio and other platforms where they'd be helping the new talent to nourish and refine. #StringsForever ❤️
