Sierra Hull on her debut album "Secrets"

Sierra Hull was winning mandolin and guitar contests when she was 13. Alison Krauss invited her to join her on the Grand Ole Opry. Now Sierra Hull of Byrdstown, Tennessee has a debut album coming out on Rounder Records. She and co-producer Ron Block talk about the project in this video bio.

Thanks for posting this video. My hubby and I have been watching videos of Sierra for some years now. We knew she would make it big! The debut album is fantastic. It's so refreshing to see a real talent among the young, and someone who has worked to achieve her level of success. With the Lohan's, and Hilton's and other wastrels on the front pages....you start to lose hope. But to see Sierra Hull, who is a reflection of the essential goodness and excellent character of the people from her part of America (I'm from Pa...so I'm referring to those people who inhabit the "blue grass" gives me hope for the future not only of real music, but our youth.

WOW ! I went to see Sierra tonight 09/06/2008at Isothermal CC in Spindale , NC . She and her band were the warm up band for Dr. Ralph Stanley and the Clinchfield Mtn. Boys !Sierra is much better in person than on youtube !!! Prettier too !! She was fantastic , an unbelievable talent ! It was a priviledge to watch her play in person !!

I love to see He and Alison Krauss helping bring up younger ones who are gifted, I think she produced Nickel Creek and now He's helping Sierra get started. I'm a musician and have decided to start getting the gifted young ones under my "musical" wing, so seeing this was moving to me.

Indeed. She is quite brilliant, even better now a days. That video is a wee bit old. I think she is around nineteen that one. I am not for certain. But one cannot deny she is brilliant, and will only advance still further.
