I'll argue any day that stripers are very tasty fish to eat. But the small fish, under 5 lbs IMO. Lanier hasn't been a good lake for me finding that size. I actually don't think I've ever caught anything under about 10 lbs there. But still they aren't a fish to turn your nose up at. They don't freeze well though. Take one or two to eat and throw the rest back for another fun day of fishing.

popatop912 is their good bank fishing?
@jchae35jc7 жыл бұрын
no..you'll need a boat. but it depends on what you're after as well. I heard the north end has some deep spots where you can throw live herring during the warmer months to get the stripers.

Not much bank fishing. In the winter a lot of guys go to Holly Park on the north end and throw cut bait.

Been looking forward to this. Capt Blair's fishing abilities are truly addictive. Striped or Hybrid Bass sure put up one heck of a fight and are fair eating.. Sure he's got a great season for us in store with some fire fishing ahead. Welcome 2017!! I have a request: Dry Tortugas please.

If you liked eating that Walleye you need to come up North and get a mess of them in Lake Erie or Eastern Lake Ontario. While you are at it you might catch a real sizeable one. Thanks for the video Blair!

mother nature chased us out of the Florida everglades and we landed 7 hours north on Lake Lanier . . . we will take what we got. I would love to tug on a mogan striped bass in that clear water.
