I like the smaller stuff to because I like to have fun and have a fight I used a medium action Rod's sometimes a ultralight if I have a trolly motor to follow them around and theirs not a lot of structure to get hung up on it sounds like it's too light of tackle but fighting them for 10 to 20 minutes at the max for a 5 pounder is just fun because I'm not getting paid to fish but I am paying to fish and I'm not gonna waste my money on all those stiff Rod's because it that's the case I will just put a hydraulic winch on my boat
