nice to see your work on completely stripped bare shoes - top work. also agree with one of the other posters in that you could brighten up some of the side and top lighting (particularly the space to your right). part of the reason your old dungeon was so awesome was it felt light, warm and cosy. keep it up.

Shoemaker here: Cool, but not sure why you are using saddle soap after stripping them with rubbing alcohol? It is used for saddles to strip of sweat, and only for shoes in emergencies when they are really dirty. Furthermore its pH level is actually basic so it will damage the leather if used often. (pH of leather=3-5) A mild leather cleaner to restore the pH levels would be more adequate here. (e.g: colourlock leather cleaner mild)

I’ve been watching you, Jason for a few years now….maybe longer (I actually don’t know how long at this point). I loved the ASMR vibe, but initially started watching, because watching a really talented tradesman, of ANY industry, is fascinating. The types of people who can only get THAT good at something by putting thousands of hours in. It never get’s old. That said, maybe it’s all in my head, but, since watching your videos, it seems to me that there are now dozens of “shiners” on KZbin now. I’m an ASMR freak as it’s the only way I can get to sleep these days, but I don’t EVER recall seeing tons of ASMR shoe-shiners on KZbin, before. Dare I say you started a major trend….??? After watching a few, I don’t think they understand just how long it takes to get to the point of calling themselves a “professional”. Unfortunately, that’s the down-side of KZbin……anyone can do it, for just about any reason. Kudos to you for hanging in there this long. Like I said, it never get’s old. Glad the industry is treating you well enough to continue doing what your’e doing.

Hey I was wondering what products you used to make the leather shiny again and with a smooth finish after you stripped it. I have a leather jacket and part of the sleeve looks kinda stripped like how a nubuck would look I guess (for a lack of a better description), the rest of the leather is shiny and smooth though. Any idea how I can create a seamless finish? Thanks. Love your videos btw.

after our brain, i believe our hands are our biggest advantage as a species... i guess i'm just stating a fact that everybody knows but i'm still so amazed at what we can accomplish with those hands : no matter if it's manipulating, molding, even a simple thing as touching a surface to notice any bumps or cracks, our hands are sensitive enough for that too. you have no legs ? no problem you make yourself some wooden legs with those hands (making protestic hands with our feet might be a lot harder though) again i might feel like captain obvious but we should never take such tools for granted... i guess i had to say it out loud because i'm constantly reminded of that fact when i watch your videos lol ! great work as always on the boots Sir Dornstar ;) Cheers from a frenchman with some trouble sleeping ^^

"Restoration" / "Transformation" seems to trigger something into youtube... all your videos are stunning and equally great made and edited at the same time from your recent ones the two containing these words get the most views... "Clickbait" is something that needs studying I think. This is what it has came to, making great videos is not enough, you have to get the name just right in order to hit the fricking algorithm!
